| CVE-2025-22104 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-02 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ibmvnic: Use kernel helpers for hex dumps Previously, when the driver was printing hex dumps, the buffer was cast to an 8 byte long and printed using string formatters. If the buffer size was not a multiple of 8 then a read buffer overflow was possible. Therefore, create a new ibmvnic function that loops over a buffer and calls hex_dump_to_buffer instead. This patch address KASAN reports like the one below: ibmvnic 30000003 env3: Login Buffer: ibmvnic 30000003 env3: 01000000af000000 <...> ibmvnic 30000003 env3: 2e6d62692e736261 ibmvnic 30000003 env3: 65050003006d6f63 ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ibmvnic_login+0xacc/0xffc [ibmvnic] Read of size 8 at addr c0000001331a9aa8 by task ip/17681 <...> Allocated by task 17681: <...> ibmvnic_login+0x2f0/0xffc [ibmvnic] ibmvnic_open+0x148/0x308 [ibmvnic] __dev_open+0x1ac/0x304 <...> The buggy address is located 168 bytes inside of allocated 175-byte region [c0000001331a9a00, c0000001331a9aaf) <...> ================================================================= ibmvnic 30000003 env3: 000000000033766e | ||||
| CVE-2026-84144 | 1 Mozilla | 1 Firefox | 2026-09-02 | N/A |
| Internally found bugs present in Thunderbird 154 and Thunderbird ESR 153.1. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption or another security-relevant defect and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 155, Firefox ESR 153.2, Thunderbird 155, and Thunderbird 153.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80685 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-02 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/util: don't read __page_2 for order-1 folios in snapshot_page() snapshot_page() currently reads __page_2 after checking nr_pages > 1, but it should only do so when nr_pages > 2. If an order-1 folio is allocated at the end of a vmemmap section, __page_2 will not exist and reading it will cause a fault. During DLPAR memory remove on a 22 TB ppc64le LPAR, snapshot_page() oopsed on the page isolation path while reading an order-1 folio's __page_2 from an adjacent absent section (unmapped vmemmap). Fix this to avoid reading memmap that doesn't exist (e.g., a vmemmap hole). | ||||
| CVE-2026-73761 | 2026-09-02 | 6.5 Medium | ||
| An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the underlying operating system of AOS-CX that could lead to unauthenticated information disclosure by sending a specially crafted packet. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability results in the ability to disclose sensitive information from the underlying operating system. | ||||
| CVE-2026-84484 | 2026-09-02 | 7.5 High | ||
| ION-DTN versions before 4.2.0 contain an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the decodeSdnv function that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to read memory by sending truncated SDNV values. Attackers can send a UDP datagram to the LTP link service input port with a truncated SDNV to trigger reads up to nine bytes past buffer boundaries and underflow byte counters. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71346 | 1 Sparklemotion | 1 Nokogiri | 2026-09-01 | 2.9 Low |
| This CVE ID has been rejected as a duplicate. | ||||
| CVE-2026-84270 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-01 | 4.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the MTP backend in gvfs. When reading a file from a mounted MTP device, do_read() in gvfsbackendmtp.c trusts the data length returned by the device without limiting it to the original size requested by the client. If a malicious MTP device responds with more bytes than requested, this unrestricted length is passed directly to memcpy(). This causes the operation to read memory outside the intended boundaries. This allows an attacker who plugs in a malicious MTP device to cause a segmentation fault when a file is read and crash the gvfsd-mtp process, resulting in a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2021-47996 | 2 Nokogiri, Sparklemotion | 2 Nokogiri, Nokogiri | 2026-09-01 | 7.5 High |
| Nokogiri before 1.11.4 (CRuby implementation only, when the packaged/vendored libxml2 is used) bundles libxml2 2.9.10, which is affected by multiple vulnerabilities addressed in libxml2 2.9.12, including a memory leak in xmlSchemaValidateStream (CVE-2019-20388), a global buffer over-read in xmlEncodeEntitiesInternal (CVE-2020-24977), a heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-2021-3517), and an out-of-bounds read (CVE-2021-3518). Processing crafted XML documents may lead to denial of service, information disclosure, or memory corruption. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80634 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-01 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: flowtable: avoid num_encaps underflow on bridge VLAN untag The DEV_PATH_BR_VLAN_UNTAG case post-decrements info->num_encaps inside WARN_ON_ONCE(). num_encaps is u8, so if it's already 0 the decrement still happens and wraps it to 255. The break only leaves the inner switch -- a later path entry can set info->indev back to a real device, and we end up returning with num_encaps == 255. nft_dev_forward_path() then walks info.encap[] (size 2) up to num_encaps, which means an OOB stack read and a bogus count copied into the route descriptor. Should only happen on a malformed bridge path stack, hence the WARN, but worth handling sanely. Move the decrement out of the WARN. [ While at this, remove the WARN_ON_ONCE since this can only happen with a buggy bridge path stack --pablo ]. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80635 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-01 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: wcn36xx: fix OOB read from short trigger BA firmware response The firmware response length is only checked against sizeof(*rsp) (20 bytes), but when candidate_cnt >= 1, a 22-byte candidate struct is read at buf + 20 without verifying the response contains it. This causes an out-of-bounds read of stale heap data, corrupting the BA session state. Add validation that the response includes the candidate data. | ||||
| CVE-2026-76924 | 1 Wireshark | 1 Wireshark | 2026-09-01 | 5.5 Medium |

| CVE-2026-19315 | 1 Watchguard | 1 Fireware Os | 2026-09-01 | N/A |
| A type confusion vulnerability in the iked process of WatchGuard Fireware OS allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted network traffic. | ||||
| CVE-2026-20749 | 1 Intel | 19 Killer Wi-fi 6 Ax1650i\/s, Killer Wi-fi 6e Ax1675i\/s, Killer Wi-fi 6e Ax1675x\/w and 16 more | 2026-09-01 | 8.8 High |
| Out-of-bounds read for some Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software within Ring 2: Device Drivers may allow an escalation of privilege. Network adversary with an unauthenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable escalation of privilege. This result may potentially occur via adjacent access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (low), integrity (low) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (low), integrity (low) and availability (low) impacts. | ||||
| CVE-2026-40015 | 1 Open-xchange | 2 Ox Dovecot Ce, Ox Dovecot Pro | 2026-09-01 | 4.3 Medium |
| An attacker that has valid credentials can open many connections to the imap-hibernate service and send invalid commands, which can intermittently cause an out-of-bounds read and crash the process. The crash interrupts hibernated IMAP sessions handled by the affected process, which can cause degradation of service for IMAP. Disable IMAP hibernation. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known. | ||||
| CVE-2026-78475 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-01 | 6.1 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the file-pix (ESM) plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted PIX image file, the plugin allocates a Variable-Length Array (VLA) on the stack without proper bounds checking, causing an unbounded stack allocation followed by a 21-byte stack over-read. This can result in a denial of service due to stack exhaustion and a limited information disclosure of stack memory contents into an intermediate file. | ||||
| CVE-2026-20778 | 1 Intel | 19 Intel Proset Wireless Wifi Software For Windows, Killer Wi-fi 6 Ax1650i\/s, Killer Wi-fi 6e Ax1675i\/s and 16 more | 2026-09-01 | 6.8 Medium |
| Out-of-bounds read for some Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software for Windows within Ring 0: Kernel may allow a denial of service. Unprivileged software adversary with an unauthenticated user combined with a high complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via adjacent access when attack requirements are present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (high) impacts. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80101 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux | 2026-09-01 | 4.4 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the file-xwd plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted XWD image file, the plugin validates the image width and bytes-per-line parameters independently rather than ensuring their combined values are consistent with the allocated buffer size. This incorrect validation leads to improper bounds checking, causing a heap out-of-bounds read. This issue can result in an application crash, leading to a denial of service, or a limited information disclosure of heap memory contents into the produced image. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58011 | 2 Gnome, Redhat | 6 Glib, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2026-09-01 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in GLib. An out-of-bounds read of only 2 bytes can occur in the g_date_time_get_ymd function in the glib/gdatetime.c file when an invalid GDateTime object produced by the g_date_time_add_full function is processed. This flaw can corrupt the date output and potentially cause logic errors that may lead to a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-13479 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-08-31 | 3.1 Low |
| The LoRaWAN application-layer clock-synchronization service parses downlinks in clock_sync_package_callback() (subsys/lorawan/services/clock_sync.c). Its command loop only guarantees that the one-byte command id is in bounds; for the CLOCK_SYNC_CMD_APP_TIME (AppTimeAns) command the handler then reads a 4-byte time correction via sys_get_le32() plus a 1-byte token without checking that 5 bytes remain in the receive buffer (len - rx_pos). A short or crafted AppTimeAns therefore reads up to 5 bytes past the end of the decrypted payload. The payload (rx_buf/len) is the decrypted application frame delivered to the registered downlink callback (mcps_indication->Buffer/BufferSize). Reaching the handler requires a frame on the clock-sync port that passes LoRaWAN's MAC integrity check and FRMPayload decryption, so the practical attacker is a malicious or compromised network/application server (the designated sender of AppTimeAns) or a party holding the session keys, rather than an arbitrary radio listener. The over-read is bounded: the backing store is a fixed 255-byte static buffer, so the few stray bytes do not fault, and the read values (time_correction, token) are used only internally and never transmitted, so there is no disclosure to the attacker and no crash. The sole effect is that a stale token matching ctx.req_token can apply a garbage time_correction to the device's own clock offset (ctx.time_offset), a minor integrity impact confined to the victim's time estimate. The fix adds an explicit length check that drops a too-short AppTimeAns. Note the sibling one-byte reads in the periodicity and force-resync handlers remain unguarded with the same negligible impact. | ||||
