CVE-2026-52971 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ena: PHC: Fix potential use-after-free in get_timestamp Move the phc->active check and resp pointer assignment to after acquiring the spinlock. Previously, phc->active was checked without holding the lock, and resp was cached from ena_dev->phc.virt_addr before the lock was acquired. If ena_com_phc_destroy() runs between the lockless active check and the lock acquisition, it sets active=false, releases the lock, frees the DMA memory, and sets virt_addr=NULL. The get_timestamp path would then read a NULL virt_addr and dereference it. With both the active check and the pointer read under the lock, destroy cannot free the memory while get_timestamp is using it.
CVE-2026-52951 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/dma-buf: handle empty bo and UAF races There look to be some nasty races here when triggering the invalidate_mappings hook: 1) We do xe_bo_alloc() followed by the attach, before the actual full bo init step in xe_dma_buf_init_obj(). However the bo is visible on the attachments list after the attach. This is bad since exporter driver, say amdgpu, can at any time call back into our invalidate_mappings hook, with an empty/bogus bo, leading to potential bugs/crashes. 2) Similar to 1) but here we get a UAF, when the invalidate_mappings hook is triggered. For example, we get as far as xe_bo_init_locked() but this fails in some way. But here the bo will be freed on error, but we still have it attached from dma-buf pov, so if the invalidate_mappings is now triggered then the bo we access is gone and we trigger UAF and more bugs/crashes. To fix this, move the attach step until after we actually have a fully set up buffer object. Note that the bo is not published to userspace until later, so not sure what the comment "Don't publish the bo until we have a valid attachment", is referring to. We have at least two different customers reporting hitting a NULL ptr deref in evict_flags when importing something from amdgpu, followed by triggering the evict flow. Hit rate is also pretty low, which would hint at some kind of race, so something like 1) or 2) might explain this. v2: - Shuffle the order of the ops slightly (no functional change) - Improve the comment to better explain the ordering (Matt B) (cherry picked from commit af1f2ad0c59fe4e2f924c526f66e968289d77971)
CVE-2026-52950 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/dma-buf: fix UAF with retry loop Retry doesn't work here, since bo will be freed on error, leading to UAF. However, now that we do the alloc & init before the attach, we can now combine this as one unit and have the init do the alloc for us. This should make the retry safe. Reported by Sashiko. v2: Fix up the error unwind (CI) (cherry picked from commit 479669418253e0f27f8cf5db01a731352ea592e7)
CVE-2026-52947 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: qrtr: fix refcount saturation and potential UAF in qrtr_port_remove In qrtr_port_remove(), the socket reference count is decremented via __sock_put() before the port is removed from the qrtr_ports XArray and before the RCU grace period elapses. This breaks the fundamental RCU update paradigm. It exposes a race window where a concurrent RCU reader (such as qrtr_reset_ports() or qrtr_port_lookup()) can obtain a pointer to the socket from the XArray, and attempt to call sock_hold() on a socket whose reference count has already dropped to zero. This exact race condition was hit during syzkaller fuzzing, leading to the following refcount saturation warning and a potential Use-After-Free: refcount_t: saturated; leaking memory. WARNING: CPU: 3 PID: 1273 at lib/refcount.c:22 refcount_warn_saturate+0xae/0x1d0 Modules linked in: qrtr(+) bochs drm_shmem_helper ... Call Trace: <TASK> qrtr_reset_ports net/qrtr/af_qrtr.c:768 [inline] [qrtr] __qrtr_bind.isra.0+0x48b/0x570 net/qrtr/af_qrtr.c:805 [qrtr] qrtr_bind+0x17d/0x210 net/qrtr/af_qrtr.c:901 [qrtr] kernel_bind+0xe4/0x120 net/socket.c:3592 qrtr_ns_init+0x1a6/0x380 net/qrtr/ns.c:715 [qrtr] qrtr_proto_init+0x3b/0xff0 net/qrtr/af_qrtr.c:169 [qrtr] do_one_initcall+0xf5/0x5e0 init/main.c:1283 ... </TASK> Fix this by deferring the reference count decrement until after the xa_erase() and the synchronize_rcu() complete. (Note: The v1 of this patch incorrectly replaced __sock_put() with sock_put(). As Simon Horman pointed out, the callers of qrtr_port_remove() still hold a reference to the socket, so freeing the socket memory here would lead to a subsequent UAF in the caller. Thus, the __sock_put() is kept, but only repositioned to close the RCU race.)
CVE-2026-13283 1 Google 2 Android, Chrome 2026-06-27 7.5 High
Use after free in AdFilter in Google Chrome on Android prior to 149.0.7827.201 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI gestures to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-53109 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-27 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/pgtable-frag: Fix bad page state in pte_frag_destroy powerpc uses pt_frag_refcount as a reference counter for tracking it's pte and pmd page table fragments. For PTE table, in case of Hash with 64K pagesize, we have 16 fragments of 4K size in one 64K page. Patch series [1] "mm: free retracted page table by RCU" added pte_free_defer() to defer the freeing of PTE tables when retract_page_tables() is called for madvise MADV_COLLAPSE on shmem range. [1]: https://lore.kernel.org/all/7cd843a9-aa80-14f-5eb2-33427363c20@google.com/ pte_free_defer() sets the active flag on the corresponding fragment's folio & calls pte_fragment_free(), which reduces the pt_frag_refcount. When pt_frag_refcount reaches 0 (no active fragment using the folio), it checks if the folio active flag is set, if set, it calls call_rcu to free the folio, it the active flag is unset then it calls pte_free_now(). Now, this can lead to following problem in a corner case... Now, if this process exits, with such folio as it's cached pte_frag in mm->context, then during pte_frag_destroy(), we simply call pagetable_dtor() and pagetable_free(), meaning it doesn't clear the active flag. This, can lead to the above bug. Since we are anyway in do_exit() path, then if the refcount is 0, then I guess it should be ok to simply clear the folio active flag before calling pagetable_dtor() & pagetable_free().
CVE-2026-47205 1 Envoyproxy 1 Envoy 2026-06-27 5.9 Medium
Envoy is an open source edge and service proxy designed for cloud-native applications. From 1.36.0 until 1.36.9, 1.37.5, and 1.38.3, a Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability leading to a sudden segmentation fault exists in Envoy's ext_authz HTTP filter when processing per-route authorization overrides concurrently with rapid downstream client disconnects. During standard request lifecycles, Envoy instantiates the ext_authz filter with a foundational authorization client object (client_). If a matched route dictates a dynamic per-route HTTP or gRPC authorization service override, the filter generates a localized client. In the vulnerable implementation, this transient client aggressively overwrote the default client_ unique pointer by executing client_ = std::move(per_route_client). When a client rapidly establishes and subsequently tears down a stream (such as rapidly refreshing a protected WebSocket endpoint), the downstream triggers the ConnectionManagerImpl::doDeferredStreamDestroy() -> ActiveStream::onResetStream() lifecycle. Envoy immediately sequences Filter::onDestroy() in an attempt to securely abort dispatched asynchronous authorization check transactions via client_->cancel(). By destructing the default client abruptly during initiateCall, a memory lifecycle misalignment occurs within the async client manager. The stream teardown fails to reliably track and cancel the dynamically bound asynchronous authorization tasks, orchestrating a sequence where a late asynchronous callback from the network evaluates against a heavily destroyed ActiveStream validation span, generating a UAF process crash. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.36.9, 1.37.5, and 1.38.3.
CVE-2026-47207 1 Envoyproxy 1 Envoy 2026-06-26 6.5 Medium
Envoy is an open source edge and service proxy designed for cloud-native applications. From 1.34.0 until 1.35.13, 1.36.9, 1.37.5, and 1.38.3, Envoy crashes if an ext_proc server sends a single gRPC message containing multiple, specially crafted ProcessingResponse messages. This can occur when the first response in the batch causes the gRPC stream object to be destroyed, leading to a use-after-free error when Envoy attempts to process subsequent responses in the same gRPC message. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.35.13, 1.36.9, 1.37.5, and 1.38.3.
CVE-2025-60465 1 Gpac 2 Gpac, Mp4box 2026-06-26 6.1 Medium
A use-after-free in the gf_filter_pid_inst_swap function (/filter_core/filter_pid.c) of GPAC Project/MP4Box before 26.02.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted media file.
CVE-2025-60464 1 Gpac 2 Gpac, Mp4box 2026-06-26 7.8 High
A use-after-free in the gf_sei_load_from_state_internal function (/filters/sei_load.c) of GPAC Project/MP4Box before 26.02.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted MPEG-2 TS file.
CVE-2026-7531 1 Wolfssl 1 Wolfssl 2026-06-26 9.8 Critical
Use-after-free in PQC hybrid key-share handling. This is an incomplete-fix follow-up to CVE-2026-5460 (released in 5.9.1): a malicious TLS 1.3 server sending a truncated PQC hybrid KeyShare can still trigger the error cleanup path to operate on freed memory.
CVE-2026-57236 2 Nokogiri, Sparklemotion 2 Nokogiri, Nokogiri 2026-06-26 8.2 High
Nokogiri is an open source XML and HTML library for the Ruby programming language. Prior to 1.19.4, calling Document#encoding= with an invalid encoding (e.g., a non-string, or a string containing a null byte) raises an exception, but only after freeing the document's current encoding string without replacing it. The document is left referencing freed memory, so the next call to Document#encoding reads invalid memory, which can cause a segfault or leak freed bytes into a Ruby String. Affects the CRuby (libxml2) implementation only; JRuby is not affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.19.4.
CVE-2026-57435 2 Nokogiri, Sparklemotion 2 Nokogiri, Nokogiri 2026-06-26 7.5 High
Nokogiri is an open source XML and HTML library for the Ruby programming language. Prior to 1.19.4, Nokogiri’s CRuby native extension could leave a Ruby wrapper pointing to freed memory when replacing the value of an XML attribute. If Ruby code had already accessed an attribute child node, Nokogiri::XML::Attr#value= could free the underlying native child node while the wrapper remained reachable through the document node cache. A later use of the freed child node or a Ruby GC mark could dereference an invalid pointer, causing an invalid read and a possible segfault. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.19.4.
CVE-2026-57436 2 Nokogiri, Sparklemotion 2 Nokogiri, Nokogiri 2026-06-26 5.3 Medium
Nokogiri is an open source XML and HTML library for the Ruby programming language. Prior to 1.19.4, Nokogiri::XML::Document#root= validated only that the new root was a Nokogiri::XML::Node, allowing a DTD node to be set as the document root. The result is a heap use-after-free during garbage collection or finalization, leading to an invalid memory read or potentially a segfault. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.19.4.
CVE-2026-57437 2 Nokogiri, Sparklemotion 2 Nokogiri, Nokogiri 2026-06-26 5.3 Medium
Nokogiri is an open source XML and HTML library for the Ruby programming language. Prior to 1.19.4, Nokogiri::XML::XPathContext did not keep its source document alive for garbage collection. If an XPathContext outlived its document and the document was collected, evaluating an XPath expression could read invalid memory and potentially segfault. This is only reachable when application code constructs an XPathContext directly and lets the document become unreachable while continuing to use the context. The normal Document#xpath, #css, and related search methods are not affected, and it is not triggerable by malicious document input. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.19.4.
CVE-2026-57438 2 Nokogiri, Sparklemotion 2 Nokogiri, Nokogiri 2026-06-26 6.6 Medium
Nokogiri is an open source XML and HTML library for the Ruby programming language. Prior to 1.19.4, XInclude substitution performed by Nokogiri::XML::Node#do_xinclude replaced each <xi:include> in place, freeing the include node along with its children (such as <xi:fallback> and its descendants) and any namespaces declared on them. If an application had already exposed one of those nodes or namespaces to Ruby, the corresponding Ruby object was left pointing at freed memory. Using the object could result in invalid reads or writes to memory. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.19.4.
CVE-2026-53234 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ibm: emac: Fix use-after-free during device removal The driver was using devm_register_netdev() which causes unregister_netdev() to be deferred until the devres cleanup phase, which runs after emac_remove() returns. This creates a use-after-free window where: 1. emac_remove() is called, which tears down hardware (cancels work, detaches modules, unregisters from MAL) 2. emac_remove() returns 3. devres cleanup runs and finally calls unregister_netdev() During step 3, the network stack might still process packets, triggering emac_irq(), emac_poll(), or other handlers that access now-freed hardware resources (dev->emacp, dev->mal, etc.). Fix this by replacing devm_register_netdev() with manual register_netdev() and calling unregister_netdev() at the beginning of emac_remove(), before any hardware teardown. This ensures the network device is fully stopped and unregistered before hardware resources are released. The change is safe because: - dev->ndev is assigned very early in probe (before any error paths that could bypass emac_remove) - platform_set_drvdata() is only called after successful registration, so emac_remove() only runs for fully registered devices - unregister_netdev() is idempotent and safe to call on any registered device
CVE-2026-13282 1 Google 2 Android, Chrome 2026-06-26 6.8 Medium
Use after free in Payments in Google Chrome on Android prior to 149.0.7827.201 allowed a local attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via physical access to the device. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-53156 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmem: core: fix use-after-free bugs in error paths Fix several instances of error paths in which we call __nvmem_device_put() - which may end up freeing the underlying memory and other resources - and then keep on using the nvmem structure. Always put the reference to the nvmem device as the last step before returning the error code.
CVE-2026-53112 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtlwifi: pci: fix possible use-after-free caused by unfinished irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet The irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet is initialized in rtl_pci_init() and scheduled when RTL_IMR_BCNINT interrupt is triggered by hardware. But it is never killed in rtl_pci_deinit(). When the rtlwifi card probe fails or is being detached, the ieee80211_hw is deallocated. However, irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet may still be running or pending, leading to use-after-free when the freed ieee80211_hw is accessed in _rtl_pci_prepare_bcn_tasklet(). Similar to irq_tasklet, add tasklet_kill() in rtl_pci_deinit() to ensure that irq_prepare_bcn_tasklet is properly terminated before the ieee80211_hw is released. The issue was identified through static analysis.
