| CVE-2026-62291 | 1 Struktur | 1 Libheif | 2026-08-21 | 5.3 Medium |
| libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. In 1.23.0 and earlier, a crafted image sequence with a 2x2 primary plane and a 256x256 auxiliary alpha plane can cause attacker-controlled heap corruption during a normal decode and re-encode workflow. Track_Visual::decode_next_image_sample() calls transfer_channel_from_image_as() without checking that the auxiliary alpha dimensions match the main frame. The resulting inconsistent image reaches heif_track_decode_next_image() and then heif_context_encode_image(). In unc_encoder::encode(), unc_encoder_component_interleave::encode_tile() sizes its buffer with compute_tile_data_size_bytes() using the primary dimensions but copies each component using its actual plane dimensions. The oversized alpha plane is therefore copied beyond the allocation, causing an out-of-bounds write; the inverse size mismatch can also produce an out-of-bounds read. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-17252 | 1 Tp-link | 1 Tl-mr6400 V7 | 2026-08-21 | N/A |
| A stack-based out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the login request handling functionality of the administrative web interface of TP-Link TL-MR6400 v7 routers. An unauthenticated adjacent attacker can trigger the vulnerability by sending a specially crafted malformed HTTP request. Successful exploitation may cause the web service process to crash, resulting in a denial-of-service condition and temporary loss of access to the router's web management interface. | ||||
| CVE-2026-75145 | 1 Ffmpeg | 1 Ffmpeg | 2026-08-21 | 5.8 Medium |
| FFmpeg before commit b4c199c contains an incorrect integer narrowing conversion in the AV1 RTP packetizer (libavformat/rtpenc_av1.c). The OBU size is cast to long before comparison against the remaining frame size. On targets where long is 32 bits, including 64-bit Windows, sufficiently large OBU size values are sign-flipped by the narrowing cast, producing a negative value that passes the payload size check. This allows an oversized OBU to bypass the safety bound on affected platforms, leading to out-of-bounds memory access when the oversized value is subsequently used as a copy length. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18288 | 1 Originlab | 1 Originpro | 2026-08-21 | N/A |
| OriginLab OriginPro OPJU File Parsing Out-Of-Bounds Write Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of OriginLab OriginPro. | CVE-2026-69242 | 1 Libvips | 1 Libvips | 2026-08-21 | 7.8 High |
| libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, a crafted many-band TIFF processed through VipsForeignLoadTiff can evade scanline validation in libvips/iofuncs/image.c and cause an integer overflow in vips_image_sanity. The resulting buffer-region calculation can access attacker-controlled negative offsets in mmap-resident allocations, allowing reads or writes of other image data, possible data disclosure through uncompressed .v output, and likely process crashes. Remote code execution has not been demonstrated but cannot be ruled out. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3. | ||||
| CVE-2026-72854 | 1 Msgpack | 1 Msgpack | 2026-08-21 | 5.3 Medium |
| msgpack_unpacker_expand_buffer in src/unpack.c, reached through the public msgpack_unpacker_reserve_buffer API, computes its new buffer size using an unchecked size_t addition of the requested size and the amount already used. The doubling loop guards its own multiplication against overflow, but the addition in the loop condition is unguarded, so a request near SIZE_MAX wraps: the loop condition is already satisfied, the allocation is performed at the small pre-wrap size, and the function returns true. The caller is told the requested capacity was reserved when it was not, so a subsequent write of the requested length overflows the heap buffer. The library's own example/lib_buffer_unpack.c demonstrates the reserve-then-write pattern, and its defensive assert comparing capacity against the request is compiled out under NDEBUG. msgpack-c's own decode entry points do not derive the reservation size from untrusted input, so reaching this requires an integration that passes an attacker-influenced length to the reservation API, such as a length-prefixed streaming transport. | ||||
| CVE-2026-50161 | 1 Baresip | 1 Re | 2026-08-21 | N/A |
| libre is a generic library for real-time communications with asynchronous input and output support. Prior to 4.8.1, the websock_decode() function in src/websock/websock.c contains an integer overflow when validating a masked WebSocket frame that uses the 64-bit extended length encoding. The expression 4 + hdr->len can wrap when hdr->len is close to UINT64_MAX, causing the mbuf_get_left() bounds check to pass. The subsequent XOR unmasking loop then writes beyond the heap buffer. Applications using websock_accept() or websock_accept_proto() to implement a WebSocket server are affected, and exploitation can cause attacker-controlled heap corruption or denial of service after the HTTP WebSocket upgrade handshake. This issue is fixed in version 4.8.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-70654 | 1 Libvips | 1 Libvips | 2026-08-21 | 4.4 Medium |
| libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, applications that define unusual custom libvips sources and use them to process untrusted uncompressed PPM images can trigger a max/min error in vips_source_read_to_memory in libvips/iofuncs/source.c. The function uses VIPS_MAX instead of VIPS_MIN when selecting the remaining read size, allowing up to 4032 bytes to be written beyond the allocated heap buffer and causing memory corruption or a process crash. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3. | ||||

| CVE-2026-65609 | 1 Nnn | 1 Nnn | 2026-08-20 | N/A |
| nnn is vulnerable to Out-of-Bound write vulnerability. Due to lack of validation of attacker-controlled length fields deserialized from a session file, a crafted session file can cause nnn to write data beyond the bounds of fixed-size global buffers when loaded with the -s option. An attacker who can place a malicious session file in the victim's nnn session directory can exploit this to corrupt adjacent global state. Maintainer of this project was notified about this vulnerability. It might has been addressed, but the maintainer did not provide a vulnerable version range. Only version 5.2 was tested and confirmed as vulnerable. | ||||

| CVE-2026-12634 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-08-20 | 5.3 Medium |
| The NVS backend of the Zephyr settings subsystem (subsys/settings/src/settings_nvs.c) reads stored setting-name entries into fixed 74-byte stack buffers and NUL-terminates them with buf[rc] = '\0', where rc is the return value of nvs_read(). Per its contract, nvs_read() returns the full stored entry length (wlk_ate.len), which can exceed the supplied buffer length — only MIN(len, stored_len) bytes are actually copied, but the return value may be much larger, bounded only by the NVS sector size. Three sites (settings_nvs_cache_match(), settings_nvs_load(), and settings_nvs_save()) used this value directly as the NUL index without clamping, so an oversized stored name entry causes a single \0 byte to be written past the end of the stack buffer at an attacker-influenced offset (CWE-787). The oversized entry cannot arise through the normal settings API, where names are bounded by SETTINGS_MAX_NAME_LEN. It requires an actor able to write the flash that backs the settings partition — a co-resident or untrusted component sharing the flash device, a malicious settings image/restore, or offline/physical flash access (a shared-flash threat model). The malformed entry is parsed when settings_load() runs at boot or subsystem init, or during settings_save(). The out-of-bounds write is a single NUL byte at an offset equal to the crafted entry length (up to the NVS sector size), so the practical impact is a crash or denial of service and limited stack corruption rather than reliable code execution. There is no confidentiality impact, and the path is not reachable from the network through the ordinary settings interface. The fix skips any entry whose nvs_read() length is greater than or equal to the buffer size before performing the NUL store. | ||||
| CVE-2026-12633 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-08-20 | 8.1 High |
| The IPv6 neighbor-discovery code in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c processes the 6LoWPAN Context Option (6CO, RFC 6775) carried inside ICMPv6 Router Advertisements. In handle_ra_6co() the 8-bit context_len field is taken directly from the packet and was never bounded to the RFC maximum of 128. The function computes context->context_len / 8 and then performs memset(context->prefix + context_len, 0, sizeof(context->prefix) - context_len), where context->prefix is a fixed 16-byte array. With context_len between 136 and 255 (and the option length field set to 3, which the pre-fix validation accepts), context_len / 8 evaluates to 17..31, so the memset length 16 - context_len/8 underflows the unsigned size_t argument to roughly SIZE_MAX. This produces an unbounded out-of-bounds memset that zeroes kernel memory well past the 6lo context structure. The defect is reachable from unauthenticated, link-local input: any host on the same link can send a crafted Router Advertisement with a 6CO option. The RA handler validates only the option length field before calling handle_ra_6co(), so a single packet triggers the wild write. The code is compiled when CONFIG_NET_6LO_CONTEXT is enabled. The impact is a reliable remote (adjacent) denial of service via memory corruption, with collateral integrity loss as the memset zeroes contiguous memory before the system faults. Router Advertisements are link-scoped and not forwarded, so the attacker must be on the same link (AV:A). The fix rejects any context_len greater than 128 before the length computation. | ||||
