Prior to 1.0.4, Terragrunt trusts paths decoded from a downloaded module's .terragrunt-module-manifest during fileManifest.Clean() in internal/util/file.go. A malicious or compromised external module can place absolute or traversal paths in the manifest, causing cleanup to delete files outside the module cache that are accessible to the Terragrunt process before OpenTofu or Terraform executes. | Arc is an open, SQL-native time-series database for telemetry. Prior to version 26.06.1, Arc's user-SQL validator (`internal/api/query.go:ValidateSQLRequest`) blocked only `read_parquet(` and `arc_partition_agg(` via regex denylist. The broader DuckDB I/O function family — `read_csv_auto`, `read_csv`, `read_json`, `read_json_auto`, `read_text`, `read_blob`, `glob`, `parquet_metadata`, `parquet_schema`, `read_xlsx`, etc. — was not blocked. RBAC table-reference extraction inspected only `FROM`/`JOIN` clauses, so scalar table functions in the `SELECT` list slipped past both layers. This is fixed in 2026.06.1 via a structural sandbox at the DuckDB layer. After lockdown, DuckDB refuses to open any file outside the allowlist and refuses further `INSTALL`/`LOAD`. Already-loaded extensions remain callable. Some workarounds are available. Restrict API access to known-trusted networks via firewall rules or, as a temporary mitigation, add `read_csv*`/`read_json*`/`glob` etc. to `dangerousSQLPattern` in `internal/api/query.go`. | ||||

| A path traversal (ZIP slip) vulnerability exists in Epiphany when installing WebExtension packages from .xpi files. In src/webextension/ephy-web-extension-manager.c, the decompress_xpi_thread() function extracts XPI archives (ZIP format) to disk using libarchive. For each archive entry, the output path is built by concatenating the intended extraction directory with the raw pathname from the archive: full_path = g_build_filename(path, archive_entry_pathname(entry), NULL); archive_entry_set_pathname(entry, full_path); ret = archive_write_header(ext, entry); The libarchive extraction options did not include ARCHIVE_EXTRACT_SECURE_NODOTDOT or ARCHIVE_EXTRACT_SECURE_SYMLINKS. As a result, archive entries containing parent-directory traversal sequences (for example "../../../../../.bashrc") are written outside the intended web_extensions extraction directory. A malicious .xpi file can therefore overwrite arbitrary files writable by the user running Epiphany, such as ~/.bashrc, ~/.config/autostart/*.desktop, or ~/.ssh/authorized_keys. This can lead to persistent code execution on subsequent shell startup or GNOME login. Exploitation requires the victim to install or open a crafted .xpi file. The reporter notes that opening an XPI can trigger extraction even when the WebExtensions feature is not enabled by default. Affected versions: Epiphany >= 47.rc. Fixed upstream in epiphany 50.6 and 49.9 via merge request !2143, which adds ARCHIVE_EXTRACT_SECURE_NODOTDOT and ARCHIVE_EXTRACT_SECURE_SYMLINKS to archive_write_disk_set_options(). | Streambert is a cross-platform Electron Desktop App to stream and download video content. Prior to 2.6.0, the perform-scheduled-backup IPC handler in src/ipc/storage.js takes settings.path from a renderer-supplied object and uses the resulting directory for fs.mkdirSync, fs.writeFileSync, fs.readdirSync, and fs.unlinkSync operations without checking that it is inside an authorized backup location. A compromised renderer can choose an absolute path or a relative traversal path to create directories and write a streambert-backup-[timestamp].json file containing renderer-controlled data. The pruning loop can also delete files in that directory whose names begin with streambert-backup- and end with .json. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.6.0. | ||||

| 4gaBoards is a boards system for realtime project management. Prior to 3.3.8, 4gaBoards allows an authenticated project manager to supply traversal sequences in the filename parameter of GET /exports/:id/:filename. In server/api/controllers/boards/download.js, the decoded inputs.filename value is passed to path.join() beneath private/exports/<user_id>/ without containment validation. A crafted value such as ../ can select an arbitrary file readable by the server process, and the file is returned to the attacker. The fileStream close handler then passes the same path to fs.unlink(), deleting the selected file and potentially causing data loss or denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.8. | ||||

| The Mercado Pago Node.js SDK interpolates caller-supplied identifiers into API request paths without percent-encoding them, so characters that are structural in a URL survive into the outgoing request. The payment (get, capture, cancel), paymentRefund (create, total, list, get), advancedPayment (get, capture, cancel, update, updateReleaseDate) and disbursementRefund (create, createAll, listAll) clients build their path as a template literal, for example RestClient.fetch(`/v1/payments/${id}`, ...) in src/clients/payment/get/index.ts. A dot-dot or slash sequence in the identifier is normalised by the WHATWG URL parser and redirects the request to a different endpoint, and a question mark appends attacker-chosen query parameters, in both cases carrying the merchant's own access token. An application that forwards an identifier influenced by an untrusted party into one of these methods without an ownership check therefore allows that party to reach other resources within the merchant's token scope. The repository already contains the intended helper, encodePathParam in src/utils/path.ts, which pull request 451 applied to roughly 29 other clients while leaving these unchanged. | ||||
