CVE-2022-1011 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 3 more 39 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 36 more 2026-08-26 7.8 High
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s FUSE filesystem in the way a user triggers write(). This flaw allows a local user to gain unauthorized access to data from the FUSE filesystem, resulting in privilege escalation.
CVE-2022-3534 2 Debian, Linux 3 Debian Linux, Kernel, Linux Kernel 2026-08-26 5.5 Medium
A vulnerability has been found in Linux Kernel up to 5.10.162/5.15.85/6.0.15/6.1.1. The impacted element is the function btf_dump_name_dups of the file tools/lib/bpf/btf_dump.c of the component libbpf. The manipulation leads to use after free. Upgrading to version 5.10.163, 5.15.86, 6.0.16, 6.1.2 and 6.2 is sufficient to resolve this issue. The identifier of the patch is c61650b869e0b6fb0c0a28ed42d928eea969afc8/fbe08093fb2334549859829ef81d42570812597d/8c64a8e76eb85d422af5ec60ccbf26e3ead8c333/a733bf10198eb5bb927890940de8ab457491ed3b/93c660ca40b5d2f7c1b1626e955a8e9fa30e0749. You should upgrade the affected component.
CVE-2026-58090 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2026-08-26 7.8 High
The SOCK_STREAM receive path in the unix socket implementation failed to fully detach control messages from the socket buffer before processing them. Some error paths would free those messages, leaving freed data mbufs in the receive socket buffer. An unprivileged local user can exploit this use-after-free to escalate privileges.
CVE-2021-28691 2 Linux, Netapp 19 Linux Kernel, Cloud Backup, H300e and 16 more 2026-08-26 7.8 High
Guest triggered use-after-free in Linux xen-netback A malicious or buggy network PV frontend can force Linux netback to disable the interface and terminate the receive kernel thread associated with queue 0 in response to the frontend sending a malformed packet. Such kernel thread termination will lead to a use-after-free in Linux netback when the backend is destroyed, as the kernel thread associated with queue 0 will have already exited and thus the call to kthread_stop will be performed against a stale pointer.

CVE-2026-58091 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2026-08-26 7.8 High
The implementation of this ioctl attempts to acquire locks on all channels in a sync group. If locking a channel would block, it releases the sync group list lock and sleeps. Upon reawakening, it is possible that the sync group structure is freed, but the implementation did not handle this possibility. On a system with a multiple audio devices, an unprivileged local user can exploit this use-after-free to escalate privileges.
CVE-2026-52924 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-26 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: purge outqueue on stale COOKIE-ECHO handling sctp_stream_update() is only invoked when the association is moved into COOKIE_WAIT during association setup/reconfiguration. In this path, the outbound stream scheduler state (stream->out_curr) is expected to be clean, since no user data should have been transmitted yet unless the state machine has already partially progressed. However, a corner case exists in sctp_sf_do_5_2_6_stale(): when a Stale Cookie ERROR is received, the association is rolled back from COOKIE_ECHOED to COOKIE_WAIT. In this scenario, user data may already have been queued and even bundled with the COOKIE-ECHO chunk. During the rollback, sctp_stream_update() frees the old stream table and installs a new one, but it does not invalidate stream->out_curr. As a result, out_curr may still point to a freed sctp_stream_out entry from the previous stream state. Later, SCTP scheduler dequeue paths (FCFS, RR, PRIO, etc.) rely on stream->out_curr->ext, which can lead to use-after-free once the old stream state has been released via sctp_stream_free(). This results in crashes such as (reported by Yuqi): BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in sctp_sched_fcfs_dequeue+0x13a/0x140 Read of size 8 at addr ff1100004d4d3208 by task mini_poc/9312 CPU: 1 UID: 1001 PID: 9312 Comm: mini_poc Not tainted 7.1.0-rc1-00305-gbd3a4795d574 #5 PREEMPT(full) sctp_sched_fcfs_dequeue+0x13a/0x140 sctp_outq_flush+0x1603/0x33e0 sctp_do_sm+0x31c9/0x5d30 sctp_assoc_bh_rcv+0x392/0x6f0 sctp_inq_push+0x1db/0x270 sctp_rcv+0x138d/0x3c10 Fix this by fully purging the association outqueue when handling the Stale Cookie case. This ensures all pending transmit and retransmit state is dropped, and any scheduler cached pointers are invalidated, making it safe to rebuild stream state during COOKIE_WAIT restart. Updating only stream->out_curr would be insufficient, since queued and retransmittable data would still reference the old stream state and trigger later use-after-free in dequeue paths.

CVE-2026-59184 2026-08-25 7.1 High
OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. Versions before 3.2.11, 3.3.0 through 3.3.12, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13 allow a crafted EXR with a nonzero dataWindow.min to make TypedFlatImageChannel::row() return an invalid heap pointer, causing out-of-bounds or use-after-free writes. This occurs when an application writes rows through FlatHalfChannel::row(). Affected consumers are tools, converters, render pipeline components, or image-processing services that accept untrusted EXR files and use FlatHalfChannel::row() on loaded images. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14.
