CVSS v3.1 |
| The fix for XSA-423 added logic to Linux'es netback driver to deal with
a frontend splitting a packet in a way such that not all of the headers
would come in one piece. Unfortunately the logic introduced there
didn't account for the extreme case of the entire packet being split
into as many pieces as permitted by the protocol, yet still being
smaller than the area that's specially dealt with to keep all (possible)
headers together. Such an unusual packet would therefore trigger a
buffer overrun in the driver. |
| A vulnerability was found in SQLite SQLite3 up to 3.43.0 and classified as critical. This issue affects the function sessionReadRecord of the file ext/session/sqlite3session.c of the component make alltest Handler. The manipulation leads to heap-based buffer overflow. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. The associated identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-248999. |
| **DISPUTED**A failure in the -fstack-protector feature in GCC-based toolchains
that target AArch64 allows an attacker to exploit an existing buffer
overflow in dynamically-sized local variables in your application
without this being detected. This stack-protector failure only applies
to C99-style dynamically-sized local variables or those created using
alloca(). The stack-protector operates as intended for statically-sized
local variables.
The default behavior when the stack-protector
detects an overflow is to terminate your application, resulting in
controlled loss of availability. An attacker who can exploit a buffer
overflow without triggering the stack-protector might be able to change
program flow control to cause an uncontrolled loss of availability or to
go further and affect confidentiality or integrity. NOTE: The GCC project argues that this is a missed hardening bug and not a vulnerability by itself. |
| Under some circumstances, this weakness allows a user who has access to run the “ps” utility on a machine, the ability to write almost unlimited amounts of unfiltered data into the process heap. |
| Microsoft Office 2007 SP3, Office 2010 SP2, Office 2013 SP1, Office 2013 RT SP1, Office 2016, Word Automation Services on SharePoint Server 2010 SP2 and 2013 SP1, Office Web Apps 2010 SP2, and Office Web Apps Server 2013 SP1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted Office document, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability." |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Oracle Java SE 6u101, 7u85, and 8u60, and Java SE Embedded 8u51, allows remote attackers to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability via unknown vectors related to Libraries. |
| Microsoft Office 2007 SP3, Office for Mac 2011, Office for Mac 2016, and Word Viewer allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted document, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability." |
| Microsoft Word 2007 SP3, Office 2010 SP2, Word 2010 SP2, and Office for Mac 2011 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted document, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability." |

| A security vulnerability has been detected in Praat up to 7.0.02. Affected is the function whisper_model_load of the file external/whispercpp/whisper.cpp of the component Model Loader. The manipulation of the argument n_dims leads to out-of-bounds write. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The identifier of the patch is a910d21a2705ef4cd16d91f29cdc8da1ab1a7221. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch. The project maintainer confirms: "We did a quick fix (suggested fix 1) for Praat version 7.0.03, and scheduled a better fix (suggested fix 2)." |
| FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. From 3.9.0 until 3.22.0, pristine manual FileRise installations without PERSISTENT_TOKENS_KEY or metadata/persistent_tokens.key can activate a published legacy compatibility key. If an attacker separately obtains ciphertext-bearing account or configuration files, the known fallback key can enable decryption of TOTP secrets or credentials. Docker installations already generated a unique persistent key, and existing installations are not automatically rotated because doing so could make encrypted state unreadable. This issue is fixed in version 3.22.0. |
| IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2 is vulnerable to a buffer overrun in the TDS (Microsoft SQL Server) PRELOGIN packet decoder. A remote attacker who can send a specially crafted TDS PRELOGIN packet to a network monitored by an IBM Guardium Collector may cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code on the Collector appliance. |
| GNU Tar through 1.34 has a one-byte out-of-bounds read that results in use of uninitialized memory for a conditional jump. Exploitation to change the flow of control has not been demonstrated. The issue occurs in from_header in list.c via a V7 archive in which mtime has approximately 11 whitespace characters. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Kamailio up to 6.0.7/6.1.3. The affected element is the function isup_get_calling_party of the file src/modules/sipt/ss7_parser.c of the component sipt Module. The manipulation of the argument length results in buffer overflow. The attack may be performed from remote. Upgrading to version 6.0.8 and 6.1.4 is sufficient to fix this issue. The patch is identified as 3667bebf8d0bea07ed16218fd921d07db87aeb21. Upgrading the affected component is advised. |
| A vulnerability was found in PCMan FTP Server up to 2.0.7. This affects an unknown function of the component PORT Command Handler. The manipulation results in buffer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. |
| The unstructured library provides open-source components for ingesting and pre-processing images and text documents, such as PDFs, HTML, Word docs, and many more. Prior to 0.24.1, partition_html(html_parser_version="v2") and the VLM partitioner can preserve untrusted document tags, attributes, text, and link targets in metadata.text_as_html, while elements_to_html() emits the result as an HTML document. The to_html() path in unstructured/documents/ontology.py does not escape output or reject unsafe URL schemes, allowing event-handler attributes, attribute breakout markup, and javascript: links to survive parsing. When the generated HTML or text_as_html is rendered in a browser, attacker-controlled script can execute in the viewer's origin, including in document-ingestion workflows where a privileged reviewer opens submitted content. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.1. |
| xmltok_impl.c in Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.5 lacks certain validation of encoding, such as checks for whether a UTF-8 character is valid in a certain context. |
| The deprecated compatibility function clnt_create in the sunrpc module of the GNU C Library (aka glibc) through 2.34 copies its hostname argument on the stack without validating its length, which may result in a buffer overflow, potentially resulting in a denial of service or (if an application is not built with a stack protector enabled) arbitrary code execution. |
| The deprecated compatibility function svcunix_create in the sunrpc module of the GNU C Library (aka glibc) through 2.34 copies its path argument on the stack without validating its length, which may result in a buffer overflow, potentially resulting in a denial of service or (if an application is not built with a stack protector enabled) arbitrary code execution. |
