| CVE-2025-40049 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Squashfs: fix uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent Syzkaller reports a "KMSAN: uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent" bug. This is caused by open_by_handle_at() being called with a file handle containing an invalid parent inode number. In particular the inode number is that of a symbolic link, rather than a directory. Squashfs_get_parent() gets called with that symbolic link inode, and accesses the parent member field. unsigned int parent_ino = squashfs_i(inode)->parent; Because non-directory inodes in Squashfs do not have a parent value, this is uninitialised, and this causes an uninitialised value access. The fix is to initialise parent with the invalid inode 0, which will cause an EINVAL error to be returned. Regular inodes used to share the parent field with the block_list_start field. This is removed in this commit to enable the parent field to contain the invalid inode number 0. | ||||

| CVE-2025-71064 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: using the num_tqps in the vf driver to apply for resources Currently, hdev->htqp is allocated using hdev->num_tqps, and kinfo->tqp is allocated using kinfo->num_tqps. However, kinfo->num_tqps is set to min(new_tqps, hdev->num_tqps); Therefore, kinfo->num_tqps may be smaller than hdev->num_tqps, which causes some hdev->htqp[i] to remain uninitialized in hclgevf_knic_setup(). Thus, this patch allocates hdev->htqp and kinfo->tqp using hdev->num_tqps, ensuring that the lengths of hdev->htqp and kinfo->tqp are consistent and that all elements are properly initialized. | ||||

| CVE-2023-53728 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: posix-timers: Ensure timer ID search-loop limit is valid posix_timer_add() tries to allocate a posix timer ID by starting from the cached ID which was stored by the last successful allocation. This is done in a loop searching the ID space for a free slot one by one. The loop has to terminate when the search wrapped around to the starting point. But that's racy vs. establishing the starting point. That is read out lockless, which leads to the following problem: CPU0 CPU1 posix_timer_add() start = sig->posix_timer_id; lock(hash_lock); ... posix_timer_add() if (++sig->posix_timer_id < 0) start = sig->posix_timer_id; sig->posix_timer_id = 0; So CPU1 can observe a negative start value, i.e. -1, and the loop break never happens because the condition can never be true: if (sig->posix_timer_id == start) break; While this is unlikely to ever turn into an endless loop as the ID space is huge (INT_MAX), the racy read of the start value caught the attention of KCSAN and Dmitry unearthed that incorrectness. Rewrite it so that all id operations are under the hash lock. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: disable sdma ecc irq only when sdma RAS is enabled in suspend sdma_v4_0_ip is shared on a few asics, but in sdma_v4_0_hw_fini, driver unconditionally disables ecc_irq which is only enabled on those asics enabling sdma ecc. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: cfg80211: Pass the PMK in binary instead of hex Apparently the hex passphrase mechanism does not work on newer chips/firmware (e.g. BCM4387). It seems there was a simple way of passing it in binary all along, so use that and avoid the hexification. OpenBSD has been doing it like this from the beginning, so this should work on all chips. Also clear the structure before setting the PMK. This was leaking uninitialized stack contents to the device. | ||||

| CVE-2018-25117 | 2 Linux, Vestacp | 2 Linux, Control Panel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| VestaCP commit a3f0fa1 (2018-05-31) up to commit ee03eff (2018-06-13) contain embedded malicious code that resulted in a supply-chain compromise. New installations created from the compromised installer since at least May 2018 were subject to installation of Linux/ChachaDDoS, a multi-stage DDoS bot that uses Lua for second- and third-stage components. The compromise leaked administrative credentials (base64-encoded admin password and server domain) to an external URL during installation and/or resulted in the installer dropping and executing a DDoS malware payload under local system privileges. Compromised servers were subsequently observed participating in large-scale DDoS activity. Vesta acknowledged exploitation in the wild in October 2018. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: smartpqi: Fix device resources accessed after device removal Correct possible race conditions during device removal. Previously, a scheduled work item to reset a LUN could still execute after the device was removed, leading to use-after-free and other resource access issues. This race condition occurs because the abort handler may schedule a LUN reset concurrently with device removal via sdev_destroy(), leading to use-after-free and improper access to freed resources. - Check in the device reset handler if the device is still present in the controller's SCSI device list before running; if not, the reset is skipped. - Cancel any pending TMF work that has not started in sdev_destroy(). - Ensure device freeing in sdev_destroy() is done while holding the LUN reset mutex to avoid races with ongoing resets. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71198 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: fix iio_chan_spec for sensors without event detection The st_lsm6dsx_acc_channels array of struct iio_chan_spec has a non-NULL event_spec field, indicating support for IIO events. However, event detection is not supported for all sensors, and if userspace tries to configure accelerometer wakeup events on a sensor device that does not support them (e.g. LSM6DS0), st_lsm6dsx_write_event() dereferences a NULL pointer when trying to write to the wakeup register. Define an additional struct iio_chan_spec array whose members have a NULL event_spec field, and use this array instead of st_lsm6dsx_acc_channels for sensors without event detection capability. | ||||

| CVE-2025-68292 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/memfd: fix information leak in hugetlb folios When allocating hugetlb folios for memfd, three initialization steps are missing: 1. Folios are not zeroed, leading to kernel memory disclosure to userspace 2. Folios are not marked uptodate before adding to page cache 3. hugetlb_fault_mutex is not taken before hugetlb_add_to_page_cache() The memfd allocation path bypasses the normal page fault handler (hugetlb_no_page) which would handle all of these initialization steps. This is problematic especially for udmabuf use cases where folios are pinned and directly accessed by userspace via DMA. Fix by matching the initialization pattern used in hugetlb_no_page(): - Zero the folio using folio_zero_user() which is optimized for huge pages - Mark it uptodate with folio_mark_uptodate() - Take hugetlb_fault_mutex before adding to page cache to prevent races The folio_zero_user() change also fixes a potential security issue where uninitialized kernel memory could be disclosed to userspace through read() or mmap() operations on the memfd. | ||||
