| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: MGMT: Fix UAF of hci_conn_params in add_device_complete
add_device_complete() runs from the hci_cmd_sync_work kworker, which
holds only hci_req_sync_lock and *not* hci_dev_lock. It calls
hci_conn_params_lookup() and then dereferences the returned object
(params->flags) without taking hci_dev_lock:

hci_conn_params_lookup() walks hdev->le_conn_params and is documented to
require hdev->lock. A concurrent MGMT_OP_REMOVE_DEVICE
(remove_device()), which does run under hci_dev_lock, can call
hci_conn_params_free() to list_del() and kfree() the very object the
lookup returned, so the subsequent params->flags read touches freed
memory [0].
Hold hci_dev_lock() across the hci_conn_params_lookup() and the read of
params->flags (and the matching event emission) so the lookup result
cannot be freed by a concurrent remove_device() before it is used,
honouring the locking contract of hci_conn_params_lookup().

| The Versa Director uses PostgreSQL (Postgres) to store operational and configuration data. It is also needed for High Availability function of the Versa Director. The default configuration has a common password across all instances of Versa Director. By default, Versa Director configures Postgres to listen on all network interfaces. This combination allows an unauthenticated attacker to access and administer the database or read local filesystem contents to escalate privileges on the system.
Exploitation Status:
Versa Networks is not aware of this exploitation in any production systems. A proof of concept exists in the lab environment.
Workarounds or Mitigation:
Starting with the latest 22.1.4 version of Versa Director, the software will automatically restrict access to the Postgres and HA ports to only the local and peer Versa Directors. For older releases, Versa recommends performing manual hardening of HA ports. This vulnerability is not exploitable on Versa Directors if published Firewall guidelines are implemented. We have validated that no Versa-hosted head ends have been affected by this vulnerability. All Versa-hosted head ends are patched and hardened.

However, the input provided for these customizations is not properly validated or sanitized, allowing a malicious user to inject and store cross-site scripting (XSS) payloads.

Versa Networks is not aware of any reported instance where this vulnerability was exploited. Proof of concept for this vulnerability has been disclosed by third party security researchers.
Workarounds or Mitigation:

Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix UAF in channel timeout by holding conn ref
l2cap_chan_timeout() runs asynchronously and accesses chan->conn. If
the connection is torn down while the timer is running or pending,
chan->conn can be freed, leading to a use-after-free when the timer
worker attempts to lock conn->lock:

| The Versa Director SD-WAN orchestration platform includes a Webhook feature for sending notifications to external HTTP endpoints. However, the "Add Webhook" and "Test Webhook" functionalities can be abused by an authenticated user to send crafted HTTP requests to localhost. This can be leveraged to execute commands on behalf of the versa user, who has sudo privileges, potentially leading to privilege escalation or remote code execution.

| The Versa Director SD-WAN orchestration platform includes functionality to initiate SSH sessions to remote CPEs and the Director shell via Shell-In-A-Box. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
audit: Fix data races of skb_queue_len() readers on audit_queue
Multiple readers access audit_queue.qlen via skb_queue_len() without
holding the queue lock or using READ_ONCE(), while kauditd writes to
this field via the skb_dequeue() → __skb_unlink() path with WRITE_ONCE()
protected by a spinlock. This constitutes data races.
All affected skb_queue_len(&audit_queue) call sites:
- kauditd_thread() wait_event_freezable() condition
- audit_receive_msg() AUDIT_GET handler (s.backlog assignment)

| PlaywrightCapture contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in its favicon retrieval functionality. When only_global_lookup is enabled, the application validates the initial favicon URL to prevent requests to localhost, loopback, or other non-public network addresses. However, redirects followed by aiohttp were not subjected to the same validation.
An attacker able to influence the content of a page processed by PlaywrightCapture could specify a publicly reachable favicon URL that responds with an HTTP redirect to a local or otherwise restricted address, such as 127.0.0.1, localhost, or an internal network service. Because aiohttp automatically followed the redirect, the resulting request could bypass the application's local-address restrictions and cause the PlaywrightCapture host to issue HTTP requests to resources that should not be externally reachable.
Depending on the services reachable from the PlaywrightCapture host and how retrieved favicon data is subsequently exposed or processed, this could be used to probe internal HTTP services or potentially obtain information from otherwise inaccessible endpoints.
The patch introduces an aiohttp request middleware that applies the existing local-URL validation to every request in the redirect chain. Requests resolving to restricted/local destinations are rejected before they are issued. |

| Improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command (CWE-78) in the blueprint resynthesis framework in Amazon Web Services codecatalyst-blueprints before 0.3.156 might allow a user with permission to commit to a repository in the project to execute arbitrary commands in the blueprint resynthesis environment via shell metacharacters in the owner field of a [local] merge strategy entry in a crafted .ownership-file.
Version 0.3.156 removes shell interpretation of the owner field, running the command directly rather than through a shell, and rejects values outside an allowlisted command form. This eliminates shell metacharacter command injection. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 0.3.156 or later.
No action is required for use of the Amazon CodeCatalyst service. Resynthesis runs in an isolated per-project environment with scoped credentials, and the service applies server-side validation there that rejects [local] merge strategy commands outside a restricted allowlisted form, including for blueprint versions published before 0.3.156. |
