CVSS v3.1 |
| nltk PorterStemmer in versions <= 3.10.2 (fixed in 3.10.3) contains an inefficient-algorithmic-complexity denial of service in PorterStemmer.stem(). The _is_consonant() helper walks backward over the entire run of trailing 'y' characters on every call, and _measure() invokes it for each stem position, causing O(n^2) behavior. A single ~20-50 KB untrusted token consisting of a long run of the letter 'y' followed by a matching suffix (e.g., 'ness') can pin a CPU core for seconds to minutes, causing availability impact. |
| A vulnerability has been found in armink struct2json 1.0. This affects the function S2J_STRUCT_GET_string_ELEMENT in the library struct2json/inc/s2jdef.h of the component JSON Deserialization. The manipulation of the argument valuestring leads to null pointer dereference. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in ash-project ash_paper_trail allows a user who can submit a large array attribute to a paper-trailed create or update action to cause a denial of service through excessive CPU and memory use.
With full-diff change tracking, AshPaperTrail.ChangeBuilders.FullDiff.ListChange pairs each prior array element against the new list by rebuilding the remaining-elements accumulator with acc ++ [tuple] on every step, copying the growing list each time, so the pairing scales cubically in the array length. Nothing bounds the length and the value comes straight from action input, so one request carrying a large accepted {:array, _} attribute forces tens of seconds of CPU and multi-gigabyte allocations.
This issue affects ash_paper_trail: from 0.1.1 before 0.7.0. |
| rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. Prior to 1.75.0, the shared HTTP CONNECT helper in lib/proxy/http.go parses proxy CONNECT responses with http.ReadResponse over an unrestricted buffered reader, allowing a malicious or compromised configured proxy, or an active on-path actor controlling a plaintext HTTP proxy hop, to send oversized headers that grow memory until the rclone process fails. The affected helper is used by FTP and SFTP proxy connections, and SFTP reaches the parser before SSH server authentication, so target host key validation does not constrain a malicious proxy. This issue is fixed in 1.75.0. |
| plone.app.portlets provides portlets and a Plone-specific user interface for plone.portlets. Prior to 5.0.8, 6.0.4, and 7.0.2, a member who can add an RSS portlet can set its feed URL to a very large response, causing src/plone/app/portlets/portlets/rss.py to download and retain excessive data in memory and deny service. The same RSS URL handling accepts internal hosts, IP addresses, single-word domains, and explicit ports, allowing server-side requests that can probe internal network services and open ports. A malicious feed item can also supply a JavaScript URL that is retained as the item link and can execute script when used by a victim. The affected logic includes _rss_feed_url_validator, _normal_url_validator, RSSFeed._retrieveFeed, RSSFeed._buildItemDict, and the FEED_DATA in-memory cache. This issue is fixed in versions 5.0.8, 6.0.4, and 7.0.2. |
| A vulnerability was detected in klaussilveira GitList 2.0.0. Affected by this issue is the function SimpleXMLElement of the file src/SCM/System/Git/CommandLine.php of the component XML Parsing. Performing a manipulation results in denial of service. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. Upgrading to version 3.0.0-beta can resolve this issue. The patch is named f67609d52c1812fa8a7ed80eae5e795cfd72115f. It is advisable to upgrade the affected component. |
| exceljs through 4.4.0 decompresses all entries from supplied xlsx archives into memory without limits on entry size, total size, or compression ratio. Attackers can upload highly compressed workbooks that expand to gigabytes in memory, exhausting available resources and causing denial of service. |
| Http4s is a Scala interface for HTTP services. Prior to 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47, an unauthenticated HTTP/2 peer can cause an out-of-memory denial of service in the Ember backend with HTTP/2 enabled. The Hpack wrapper in ember-core/shared/src/main/scala/org/http4s/ember/core/h2/Hpack.scala concatenates HEADERS and CONTINUATION frame fragments and decodes them into a single List, but maxHeaderSize accounting does not include indexed headers or HPACK per-header overhead. A small compressed header block can therefore expand into a much larger decoded representation that remains in memory for processing. Servers exposed to untrusted HTTP/2 traffic and clients directed to an untrusted HTTP/2 server are affected, and concurrent malicious connections can exhaust the process heap. This issue is fixed in versions 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47. |
| An issue in the with_argv function (/unistd/mod.rs) of relibc commit 61f42d allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. |
| An issue in the seekdir() function (/dirent/mod.rs) of relibc commit 61f42d allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. |
| multer is a middleware for handling multipart/form-data in Node.js. A small multipart request with two specially crafted text field names can make multer's field parser synchronously iterate a maximum-length sparse array, blocking the event loop so the process cannot handle other requests. A large numeric array index in the first field allocates a maximum-length sparse array, and a second field with a non-numeric key then triggers a full-length iteration inside the append-field dependency. All versions before 2.3.0 are affected, and this is a remotely triggerable denial of service. multer 2.3.0 adds an opt-in fieldArrayIndexLimit option that rejects oversized array indexes. Upgrade to multer 2.3.0 and set limits.fieldArrayIndexLimit to the largest array index your application needs to remediate. |
| Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). Supported versions that are affected are 3.0.0-3.2.18. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Helidon. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.5 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). |
| vLLM up to and including 0.17.0 allows remote attackers to cause a Denial of Service via memory exhaustion. The AsyncMediaIO.fetch_audio and AsyncMediaIO.fetch_image functions in multimodal/inputs.py fetch user-supplied media URLs using aiohttp and call r.read() without enforcing a maximum response size, allowing an attacker to exhaust server memory by providing a URL to an arbitrarily large file. |
| KubeVela is an open source application delivery platform. Prior to 1.9.14, from 1.10.0-alpha.1 until 1.10.9, and from 1.11.0-alpha.1 until 1.11.0-alpha.4, the Terraform remote configuration loader in pkg/controller/utils/capability.go, GetTerraformConfigurationFromRemote, clones a repository supplied through a core.oam.dev/v1beta1 ComponentDefinition and follows repository-controlled variables.tf or main.tf symlinks. A user with permission to create or update ComponentDefinition objects can point variables.tf to /dev/zero through terraform.path, after which os.Stat and os.ReadFile follow the link and read an unbounded stream before ParseTerraformVariables or HCL parsing can reject the content. The read can exhaust memory, OOM-kill the cluster-wide vela-core controller, cause repeated Pod restarts, and pressure node memory when no effective container limit is configured. This issue is fixed in versions 1.9.14, 1.10.9, and 1.11.0-alpha.4. |

| Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in Apache APISIX.
A single small request can pin a gateway worker at 100% CPU for an extended period in graphql-limit-count routes.
This issue affects Apache APISIX: 3.17.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.18.0, which fixes the issue. |
| Denial-of-service (DoS) vulnerability in the internal JPEG2000 (JPX) decoding implementation of the Poppler fork developed by Innodata Labs. When an application processes an untrusted PDF file containing specially crafted JPXDecode images, a remote attacker can cause uncontrolled memory consumption. The flaw occurs in the JPXStream::readCodestream() function, where values controlled from the SIZ segment (such as img.nComps) are used for the memory allocation of tiles and components without adequate validation. This allows an attacker to force excessive memory allocation and cause a resource exhaustion, ultimately causing the pdftoppm process to terminate due to out-of-memory (OOM) conditions. |
| icalendar is an RFC 5545 compatible parser and generator of iCalendar files for Python. From 7.1.0 until 7.1.3, the Component equality method in src/icalendar/cal/component.py compares nested subcomponents with two membership loops, and each membership test invokes the same method on child components, causing O(2^n) work relative to nesting depth. Component.from_ical accepts arbitrarily nested BEGIN:VEVENT blocks without a depth limit, so an attacker can submit a sub-kilobyte .ics file containing equal nested subtrees and trigger the cost when an application performs equality, inequality, membership, deduplication, test-assertion, round-trip, or normalization comparisons. Parsing alone does not trigger the issue, and comparisons that differ early short-circuit, but a few hundred bytes can pin a CPU core for minutes or indefinitely, causing denial of service in calendar sync or import endpoints, invite processing, and other comparison paths. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.3. |

Spring Framework 5.2.25.RELEASE and earlier |
| CodeChecker's massStoreRun processing path performs one-shot decompression of attacker-controlled, Base64-encoded zlib data without enforcing a maximum decompressed size.
An authenticated user with permission to store analysis runs can submit a highly compressed payload that expands to a significantly larger byte sequence. Because the entire decompressed output is materialized in memory before being written to a temporary file, a sufficiently large payload may exhaust process or host memory and consume substantial disk space, resulting in denial of service. |
