CVSS v3.1 |
| This issue affects the
ExtractEmbeddedFiles example in Apache PDFBox: from 2.0.24 through 2.0.35, from 3.0.0 through 3.0.6.
The ExtractEmbeddedFiles example contains a path traversal vulnerability (CWE-22) because
the filename that is obtained from
PDComplexFileSpecification.getFilename() is appended to the extraction path.
Users who have copied this example into their production code should
review it to ensure that the extraction path is acceptable. The example
has been changed accordingly, now the initial path and the extraction
paths are converted into canonical paths and it is verified that
extraction path contains the initial path. The documentation has also
been adjusted. |
| Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat.
Tomcat did not limit HTTP/0.9 requests to the GET method. If a security
constraint was configured to allow HEAD requests to a URI but deny GET
requests, the user could bypass that constraint on GET requests by
sending a (specification invalid) HEAD request using HTTP/0.9.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.14, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.49, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.112.
Older, EOL versions are also affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.15 or later, 10.1.50 or later or 9.0.113 or later, which fixes the issue. |
| Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat Native, Apache Tomcat.
When using an OCSP responder, Tomcat Native (and Tomcat's FFM port of the Tomcat Native code) did not complete verification or freshness checks on the OCSP response which could allow certificate revocation to be bypassed.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat Native: from 1.3.0 through 1.3.4, from 2.0.0 through 2.0.11; Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.17, from 10.1.0-M7 through 10.1.51, from 9.0.83 through 9.0.114.
The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are
known to be affected: from 1.1.23 through 1.1.34, from 1.2.0 through 1.2.39. Older EOL versions are not affected.
Apache Tomcat Native users are recommended to upgrade to versions 1.3.5 or later or 2.0.12 or later, which fix the issue.
Apache Tomcat users are recommended to upgrade to versions 11.0.18 or later, 10.1.52 or later or 9.0.115 or later which fix the issue. |
| A flaw was found in mod_proxy_cluster. This vulnerability, a Carriage Return Line Feed (CRLF) injection in the decodeenc() function, allows a remote attacker to bypass input validation. By injecting CRLF sequences into the cluster configuration, an attacker can corrupt the response body of INFO endpoint responses. Exploitation requires network access to the MCMP protocol port, but no authentication is needed. |
| The publisher handler for mod_python 2.7.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain access to restricted objects via a crafted URL. |
| mod_python (libapache2-mod-python) 3.1.4 and earlier does not properly handle when output filters process more than 16384 bytes, which can cause filter.read to return portions of previously freed memory. |
| The ap_log_rerror function in Apache 2.0 through 2.035, when a CGI application encounters an error, sends error messages to the client that include the full path for the server, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information. |
| Spooler in Apache Foundation James 2.2.0 allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by triggering various error conditions in the retrieve function, which prevents a lock from being released and causes a memory leak. |
| Apache 1.3.20 on Windows servers allows remote attackers to bypass the default index page and list directory contents via a URL with a large number of / (slash) characters. |
| Apache HTTP Server 2.0.47 and earlier allows local users to bypass .htaccess file restrictions, as specified in httpd.conf with directives such as Deny From All, by using an ErrorDocument directive. NOTE: the vendor has disputed this issue, since the .htaccess mechanism is only intended to restrict external web access, and a local user already has the privileges to perform the same operations without using ErrorDocument |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Apache Tomcat 4.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web script and steal cookies via a URL with encoded newlines followed by a request to a .jsp file whose name contains the script. |
| mod_disk_cache in Apache 2.0 through 2.0.49 stores client headers, including authentication information, on the hard disk, which could allow local users to gain sensitive information. |
| The XML parser in Xerces-C++ 2.5.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via XML attributes in a crafted XML document. |
| Apache Tomcat 4.0.5 and earlier, when using both the invoker servlet and the default servlet, allows remote attackers to read source code for server files or bypass certain protections, a variant of CAN-2002-1148. |
| The check_forensic script in apache-utils package 1.3.31 allows local users to overwrite or create arbitrary files via a symlink attack on temporary files. |
| Apache Software Foundation Tomcat Servlet prior to 3.2.2 allows a remote attacker to read the source code to arbitrary 'jsp' files via a malformed URL request which does not end with an HTTP protocol specification (i.e. HTTP/1.0). |
| A possible interaction between Apple MacOS X release 1.0 and Apache HTTP server allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a flood of HTTP GET requests to CGI programs, which generates a large number of processes. |
| mod_digest_apple for Apache 1.3.31 and 1.3.32 on Mac OS X Server does not properly verify the nonce of a client response, which allows remote attackers to replay credentials. |
| A regression error in the Debian distributions of the apache-ssl package (before 1.3.9 on Debian 2.2, and before 1.3.26 on Debian 3.0), for Apache 1.3.27 and earlier, allows local users to read or modify the Apache password file via a symlink attack on temporary files when the administrator runs (1) htpasswd or (2) htdigest, a re-introduction of a vulnerability that was originally identified and addressed by CVE-2001-0131. |
| Apache webserver 2.0.52 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via an HTTP GET request with a MIME header containing multiple lines with a large number of space characters. |
