CVSS v3.1 |
MCPHub is a unified hub for centrally managing and dynamically orchestrating multiple MCP servers/APIs into separate endpoints with flexible routing strategies. Prior to version 0.12.13, MCPB File Upload Handler extracts a ZIP file and reads manifest.json from it. The name field in the manifest is directly concatenated into a file path (line 107) without any sanitization or path traversal character validation. An attacker can craft a malicious MCPB file where manifest.name is set to something like ../../../etc/malicious, causing the file to be extracted to an arbitrary location on the file system. The cleanupOldMcpbServer function (line 110) also uses the unsanitized name, potentially allowing deletion of arbitrary directories. This issue has been patched in version 0.12.13.
Goploy is an open-source automation deployment system. Prior to version 1.18.0, a severe path traversal vulnerability exists in its backend API endpoints, specifically /deploy/fileDiff (File Compare), when handling file paths provided by the client. This issue has been patched in version 1.18.0.
Admidio before 5.0.12 fails to sanitize album names in the photo ZIP download functionality, allowing authenticated users with album-creation rights to include path traversal segments in archive entry names. Attackers can craft malicious album names containing directory traversal sequences that escape the intended directory when recipients extract the archive, potentially writing files outside the target directory.
Cloud Commander before 19.20.2 contains a directory traversal vulnerability in REST file-operation and markdown endpoints that fails to properly validate path normalization. Attackers can use path traversal sequences to read, write, move, or copy files outside the configured root directory.
Qwen-Agent through 0.0.34 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the document parser that fails to restrict file access to intended directories. Attackers can supply absolute file paths to the unauthenticated Gradio interface to read arbitrary files accessible by the server process.
gitoxide (Rust crates gix <= 0.72.0 and gix-validate <= 0.10.0) contains a path traversal vulnerability. The submodule name validation function in gix-validate only checks the first occurrence of '..' via name.find(b".."), allowing crafted names such as 'a..b/../../../.git/' to bypass the check; additionally this validation is never invoked in production code paths. Combined with a trust inheritance flaw in Submodule::open(), where the parent repository's git_dir_trust (Trust::Full) is cloned and the ownership verification is skipped, an attacker can craft a malicious .gitmodules file so that a victim tool built on gitoxide reads arbitrary git repository configuration (including embedded credentials) with full trust, bypassing safe-directory protections. Fixed in gix 0.82.0 and gix-validate 0.11.1.
A vulnerability was detected in iswalle getnote-mcp up to 1.5.0. The affected element is the function fs.readFileSync of the file src/index.ts of the component upload_image. Performing a manipulation of the argument image_path results in path traversal. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. Upgrading to version 1.5.1 is sufficient to fix this issue. The patch is named 7f9a215e03575c650d38c8f87fc6d8d363fed80d. Upgrading the affected component is advised.
Yamcs is a mission control framework. Prior to 5.11.13, Yamcs StaticFileHandler.locateFile resolves an unauthenticated request path without using Path.normalize and Path.toAbsolutePath to confirm that the absolute path remains within the configured staticRoots. A path containing traversal segments can escape the intended web root and return an arbitrary readable host file. The flaw is in yamcs-core/src/main/java/org/yamcs/http/StaticFileHandler.java and can disclose sensitive operating-system and application data. This issue is fixed in version 5.11.13, and the 5.12 line is fixed from version 5.12.0.
NLTK through 3.10.3 contains a path traversal vulnerability in model-artifact APIs that bypass pathsec enforcement by using raw file operations on caller-controlled paths. Attackers can read or write files outside allowed sandbox roots through TransitionParser, AveragedPerceptron, PerceptronTagger, and maxent parameter APIs when pathsec is enabled.
NLTK before 3.10.0 contains an arbitrary local file read vulnerability in StreamBackedCorpusView that bypasses pathsec.ENFORCE by calling builtins.open() directly instead of pathsec.open(). Attackers who control the fileid argument can read arbitrary local files regardless of the ENFORCE setting, including sensitive system files and application credentials.
Pake before 3.13.1 joins the JavaScript-supplied filename for the download_file Tauri command onto the user's Downloads directory with no sanitization. A filename containing path traversal sequences (for example ../Library/LaunchAgents/com.evil.plist) or an absolute path resolves outside ~/Downloads. The command then fetches attacker-controlled content from the supplied URL (via Rust HTTP, not the browser) and writes it to that path. A script that can invoke the command can overwrite user-writable files and install persistence (macOS LaunchAgents, Linux autostart, Windows Startup), leading to code execution in the user account. All desktop apps generated from an affected Pake tree expose the same command.
A vulnerability was identified in SeaCMS up to 13.6. Affected by this vulnerability is the function unlink of the file /member.php?action=chgpwdsubmit of the component Avatar Upload. Such manipulation of the argument oldpic leads to path traversal. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used.
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory (Path Traversal) vulnerability in ash-project ash_admin allows writing attacker-controlled bytes to arbitrary paths on the server.
AshAdmin.Components.Resource.Form.consume_file_uploads/1 builds the destination as Path.join([tmp_dir, entry.client_name]) and writes it with File.cp!/2. entry.client_name is the browser-supplied filename and is not sanitized, and Path.join/1 does not normalize ... An upload named ../../../../var/www/app/priv/static/x.png therefore escapes the random temp directory and lands anywhere the BEAM user can write, enabling arbitrary file write and potentially remote code execution by overwriting application assets, configuration, or cron/ssh files. The only guard is an extension allowlist defaulting to :any that checks only the extension. The fix strips path components with Path.basename/1 before joining.
This issue affects ash_admin: from 0.13.7 before 1.3.1. |
A vulnerability was detected in yaojingang GEOFlow up to 2.1.0. This vulnerability affects the function unlink of the file app/Http/Controllers/Admin/ImageLibraryController.php of the component Image Library Cleanup. The manipulation of the argument file_path results in path traversal. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit is now public and may be used. Upgrading to version 2.1.1 is able to resolve this issue. The patch is identified as 67abfd864a15d169a78429f3290c91cb3b93e849. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component.
In Eclipse Theia versions 1.73.0 up to but not including 1.75.0, the AI "Agent Mode" file-change tools (writeFileContent, suggestFileContent, and the replacement and state helpers) resolved a model-supplied file path without a workspace-containment check. A crafted relative path such as ../.bashrc, an absolute path, or a ~-expanded path could therefore write or delete files outside the workspace with the privileges of the Theia backend OS user. Because the path argument is influenced by model output, it can be steered through indirect prompt injection, and in Agent Mode writes are applied without a confirmation dialog. Writing to a host-executed file such as a shell startup file or ~/.ssh/authorized_keys can escalate to code execution on the backend.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 18.8 before 19.0.6, 19.1 before 19.1.4, and 19.2 before 19.2.2 that under certain conditions could have allowed an authenticated user to achieve remote code execution due to a path traversal vulnerability in the package registry.
Duplicacy through 3.2.5 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the restore function that fails to validate entry paths deserialized from snapshot files. Attackers can craft malicious snapshot entries with directory traversal sequences to write files outside the restore directory to arbitrary locations accessible by the restoring user.
gpt-crawler through 1.5.1 fails to validate the outputFileName parameter in the POST /crawl endpoint, allowing unauthenticated attackers to write arbitrary files to any filesystem path. Attackers can supply absolute paths or parent-directory segments to overwrite existing files with content sourced from attacker-controlled URLs.
The 爱采集数据采集和发布插件 WordPress plugin through 1.0.0 does not require a per-install secret for one of its unauthenticated endpoints, relying on a hardcoded default, and does not validate the URLs or destination paths it is given, allowing unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server, force it to issue arbitrary requests and retrieve the responses, and write attacker-supplied content outside the uploads directory.
A vulnerability was identified in blackms aistack up to 1.6.1. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file src/web/server.ts of the component Static File Handler. Such manipulation of the argument req.url leads to path traversal. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
