CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: do not warn on route notification size race
fib6_info_hw_flags_set() sizes the skb with rt6_nlmsg_size() and later
fills it with rt6_fill_node(). With nexthop compatibility mode enabled,
a concurrent replacement can grow the group between these independent
snapshots. rt6_fill_node() can then legitimately return -EMSGSIZE, so
the warning does not prove a sizing bug.
Remove the warning. The existing error path still frees the skb and
reports the error to listeners. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv4: stop exception dump when nexthop group shrinks
Commit 4ce5dc9316de ("inet: switch inet_dump_fib() to RCU
protection") allowed IPv4 FIB dumps to run concurrently with nexthop
replacement.
fib_dump_info_fnhe() uses fib_info_num_path() as the loop bound,
then fib_info_nhc() independently reloads nh->nh_grp. If
RTM_NEWNEXTHOP replaces a group with fewer paths between those loads,
fib_info_nhc() returns NULL and the dump dereferences it through
nhc_flags.
Stop the walk when the indexed path is absent. Nexthop groups are
dense, so the current snapshot has no later path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv4: stop PMTU walk when nexthop group shrinks
Commit 7d3f3b4367f3 ("net: ipv4: Cache pmtu for all packet paths if
multipath enabled") made __ip_rt_update_pmtu() update every path.
For nexthop objects, fib_info_num_path() and fib_info_nhc()
independently load nh->nh_grp. RCU protects each group's lifetime but
does not make the loads observe the same group. If replacement shrinks
the group after the loop accepts an index, fib_info_nhc() returns NULL
and update_or_create_fnhe() dereferences it.
A deterministic probe only widened the existing window between the real
operations. On v7.2, an RTM_NEWNEXTHOP replacement published a
one-member group after the PMTU reader accepted index 1 from a two-member
group, producing:
KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000000-0x0000000000000007]
RIP: update_or_create_fnhe+0x45/0x15b0
Stop when the indexed path is absent. Groups are dense, so no later
index exists in that snapshot. The same real-writer window completed
114,423 PMTU iterations without an oops with this check. A reproducer
is available on request.
Replacement requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the network namespace. Where
unprivileged user namespaces are permitted, a local user can obtain it
in a new user and network namespace. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix heap out-of-bounds write in krb5_authenticate()
In krb5_authenticate(), out_len is calculated to determine available
headroom in response_buf for the incoming Kerberos AP-REP token. However,
when SMB2_SESSION_SETUP is processed as a non-first element of a compounded
SMB2 request, the calculation omits work->next_smb2_rsp_hdr_off.
This causes out_len to overstate remaining buffer headroom by
the cumulative size of prior responses in the compound chain. Consequently,
the length check in ksmbd_krb5_authenticate()
(*out_len <= resp->spnego_blob_len) passes erroneously, allowing memcpy()
to write the AP-REP blob past the end of response_buf into adjacent kernel
heap memory.
Fix this by subtracting work->next_smb2_rsp_hdr_off when computing out_len,
ensuring it accurately reflects physical remaining buffer space. |
| A buffer overflow issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or corrupt process memory. |
| A use-after-free issue was addressed with improved memory management. This issue is fixed in Safari 27.2, iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, visionOS 27.2. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. |
| FLTK through 1.4.5 contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Fl_BMP_Image::load_bmp_() that allows attackers to corrupt stack memory by supplying an oversized BMP colors_used field. Attackers can craft BMP or ICO files with colors_used above 256 to overflow the 768-byte colormap array, causing crashes or potential code execution. |
| DOMPurify before 3.4.17 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows attackers to bypass the SMIL attributeName=href guard when PARSER_MEDIA_TYPE is application/xhtml+xml, because transformCaseFunc does not lowercase attribute names. Attackers can submit SVG with an animate or set element using attributeName="href" and a javascript: entry in values to execute script when users click the sanitized link. |
| DOMPurify from 3.4.4 before 3.4.17 contains a SAFE_FOR_TEMPLATES bypass that lets attackers preserve template expressions in attached shadow roots when using RETURN_DOM, RETURN_DOM_FRAGMENT, or IN_PLACE modes. Attackers can split expressions across text nodes separated by disallowed elements, which merge after removal and are evaluated by downstream template engines for cross-site scripting. |
| A malicious actor with access to the adjacent network could exploit a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability found in airMAX M, LTU, SolarPoint, and SolarSwitch devices to execute arbitrary code on the device. |
| A malicious actor who lures an authenticated user to a malicious page could exploit a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability found in airMAX M devices to execute a Command Injection on the device. |
| Untrusted Pointer Dereference in ASUS certain motherboards firmware allows a kernel-level privileges user can supply an arbitrary memory address via an I/O command, leading to subsequent system information being tampered with or causing a system crash.
Refer to the 'Security Update for Multiple ASUS Motherboards' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| The Kirki plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 6.2.5 via deserialization of untrusted input through the 'get-single-symbol' branch of the kirki_post_apis() AJAX dispatcher due to a missing capability check. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. The additional presence of a POP chain allows attackers to overwrite an administrator's password and gain administrative access. |
| ### Summary
`qs.stringify` with `allowEmptyArrays: true` writes the key of an empty array without encoding it, even though keys are encoded by default. A key that contains `&` (or the configured `delimiter`), `=`, or `#` ∴ becomes query string syntax instead of data, so a caller-supplied key name can add parameters to the serialized query string, or cut it short.
### Details
In `lib/stringify.js`, the `allowEmptyArrays` branch returns `adjustedPrefix + '[]'` early, before the code that passes every other key through `encoder` and `formatter`. So `{ "x&k=v": ["1"] }` serializes as `x%26k%3Dv%5B0%5D=1`, but `{ "x&k=v": [] }` serializes as `x&k=v[]`. The early return applies at any depth (`{ "a": { "b&k=v": [] } }` gives `a[b&k=v][]`), under every `arrayFormat`, with `allowDots`, and with a custom `encoder`, which is never called for that key. With `encode: false` or `encodeValuesOnly: true`, keys are intentionally left unencoded on every path; those configurations are not affected.
#### PoC
```js
var qs = require("qs");
var query = qs.stringify({ q: "hi", "x&apiKey=evil&y": [] }, { allowEmptyArrays: true });
// "q=hi&x&apiKey=evil&y[]"
qs.parse(query);
// { q: "hi", x: "", apiKey: "evil", y: [""] }
qs.stringify({ "x#": [], z: "1" }, { allowEmptyArrays: true });
// "x#[]&z=1": in a URL, everything after "#" becomes the fragment
```
#### Fix
Applied in 234d505 on `main` and released as v6.17.0: the key of an empty array goes through `encoder` and `formatter` exactly as the key of any other value does, so `{ "x&apiKey=evil&y": [] }` now serializes as `x%26apiKey%3Devil%26y[]`. Keys that need no encoding serialize as before, with two exceptions that match every other path: the brackets of a nested key are now encoded (`a[b][]` becomes `a%5Bb%5D[]`, which `qs.parse` reads identically), and with `encodeDotInKeys`, a dot in the key becomes `%252E` instead of `%2E` (which `decodeDotInKeys` previously misread as nesting).
### Affected versions
`>=6.12.0 <6.17.0`, fixed in v6.17.0.
`allowEmptyArrays` was introduced in f22b2bc and first shipped in v6.12.0, with this early return. Every release from v6.12.0 through v6.16.1 is affected. Earlier versions have no `allowEmptyArrays` option and are not affected.
### Impact
An application that passes an object whose key names come from untrusted input to `qs.stringify` with `allowEmptyArrays: true` (for example, to forward a parsed JSON body or user-selected fields to an upstream service) can have parameters injected into the resulting query string. The injected parameters are not keys of the object, so deleting or overwriting a key on the object (such as setting a trusted `apiKey` after copying the user's fields) does not remove them; whether the attacker's value or the application's wins depends on how the receiving side handles a duplicate parameter. A `#` in such a key ends the query string early when the result is placed in a URL. `allowEmptyArrays` is off by default, and only keys whose value (after any `filter`) is an empty array are affected. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rust_binder: reschedule node refcount update on thread exit
When a thread exits via BINDER_THREAD_EXIT, its pending work items are
cancelled. If a thread exits while holding a pending node refcount
increment (e.g. pushed as deferred work to that thread), the refcount
increment was previously dropped because Node::cancel() and
NodeWrapper::cancel() were no-ops.
Dropping the refcount update leaves the node's delivery state and count
state desynchronized, and userspace will not receive the notification,
which can cause the node to never be freed from the process's nodes tree
when all external references are dropped.
Fix this by implementing DeliverToRead::cancel() for Node and NodeWrapper
to move the pending refcount update to the process's work queue on thread
exit so another thread can deliver it to userspace. |
| A malicious actor who lures an authenticated user to a malicious page could exploit a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability found in airMAX M devices to make unauthorized changes and execute a Denial of Service (DoS) attack on the device. |
| An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2. A buffer overflow may result in memory corruption and unexpected app termination. |
| FLTK through 1.4.5 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in Fl_BMP_Image::load_bmp_() that causes undersized pixel buffer allocation from file-supplied width and height. Attackers can supply a crafted BMP or ICO file with large dimensions so row decoding writes file-derived data past the heap buffer, corrupting the application heap. |
| The Qode Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass leading to Account Takeover in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.6.2 via the qode_membership_check_facebook_user AJAX action. This is due to a typographic error in the Facebook OAuth token verification guard within the qode_membership_login_user_from_social_network function — the guard condition tests an undefined variable ($check_social_useqoder instead of $check_social_user), causing empty() to always return true and rendering the Graph API token verification branch dead code, leaving wp_set_auth_cookie() reachable with no credential or token validation whatsoever. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing WordPress account — including Administrator-level accounts — by supplying a known or enumerated administrator login name (rather than an email address) in the response[email] parameter, which the fallback path in get_user_by('login', $email) resolves to the matching account. Exploitation does require harvesting a valid qode_validate_facebook_login nonce, but this nonce is rendered on any public front-end page containing the [qode_user_login] or [qode_user_register] shortcode and is therefore obtainable without any prior authentication. |
| Due to improper permission checks in Lobster_pro, attackers are able to interact with endpoints that should require administrative privileges. This issue affects Lobster_pro version 4.12.12-LTS and potentially other versions prior to 25.1.3. |
