CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fprobe: Fix unregister_fprobe() to wait for RCU grace period
Commit 4346ba1604093 ("fprobe: Rewrite fprobe on function-graph tracer")
changed fprobe to register struct fprobe to an rcu-hlist, but it forgot
to wait for RCU GP. Thus there can be use-after-free if the fprobe is
released right after unregistering. This can be happened on fprobe
event and sample module code.
To fix this issue, add synchronize_rcu() in unregister_fprobe().
Note that BPF is OK because fprobe is used as a part of
bpf_kprobe_multi_link. This unregisters its fprobe in
bpf_kprobe_multi_link_release() and it is deallocated via
bpf_kprobe_multi_link_dealloc(), which is invoked from
bpf_link_defer_dealloc_rcu_gp() RCU callback.
For BPF, this also introduced unregister_fprobe_async() which does
NOT wait for RCU grace priod. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: bridge: eb_tables: close module init race
sashiko reports for unrelated patch:
Does the core ebtables initialization in ebtables.c suffer from a similar race?
Once nf_register_sockopt() completes, the sockopts are exposed globally.
sockopt has to be registered last, just like in ip/ip6/arptables. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: misc: usbio: fix disconnect UAF in client teardown
usbio_disconnect() walks usbio->cli_list in reverse and uninitializes each
auxiliary device. auxiliary_device_uninit() drops the device reference, and
for an unbound child that can run usbio_auxdev_release() and free the
containing struct usbio_client.
list_for_each_entry_reverse() advances after the loop body by reading
client->link.prev. If the current client is freed by
auxiliary_device_uninit(), the iterator dereferences freed memory.
Use list_for_each_entry_safe_reverse() so the previous client is
cached before the body can drop the final reference. This preserves
reverse teardown order while keeping the next iterator cursor independent
of the current client's lifetime.
Validation reproduced this kernel report:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: ebtables: move to two-stage removal scheme
Like previous patches for x_tables, follow same pattern in ebtables.
We can't reuse xt helpers: ebt_table struct layout is incompatible.
table->ops assignment is now done while still holding the ebt mutex
to make sure we never expose partially-filled table struct. |
| A cross-site request forgery vulnerability in the Admin UI of Progress MarkLogic Server before 11.3.6 and 12.0.3 allows a remote attacker who lures an authenticated administrator to a malicious web page to perform administrative actions on the administrator's behalf. This can result in unauthorized changes to security configuration. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: x_tables: add and use xtables_unregister_table_exit
Previous change added xtables_unregister_table_pre_exit to detach the
table from the packetpath and to unlink it from the active table list.
In case of rmmod, userspace that is doing set/getsockopt for this table
will not be able to re-instantiate the table:
1. The larval table has been removed already
2. existing instantiated table is no longer on the xt pernet table list.
This adds the second stage helper:
unlink the table from the dying list, free the hook ops (if any) and do
the audit notification. It replaces xt_unregister_table(). |
| An arbitrary file write vulnerability in the API of HPE Networking Fabric Composer could allow an authenticated low privilege operator user to escalate privileges. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may enable the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system, leading to complete compromise of the affected system. |
| Vulnerabilities in an API endpoint of HPE Networking Fabric Composer could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to conduct a denial of service attack. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to make limited unauthorized modifications to the underlying operating system and disrupt the availability of the affected system, requiring manual intervention to restore functionality. |
| A privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the API endpoint of HPE Networking Fabric Composer. Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to gain administrative privileges leading to complete compromise of the HPE Networking Fabric Composer host. |
| A sensitive information disclosure vulnerability exists in the API of HPE Networking Fabric Composer. Successful exploitation could allow an authenticated low privilege operator user to access data beyond what is authorized by the user's existing privilege level, potentially leading to further unauthorized access. |
| Vulnerabilities exist in the authentication module that may improperly process malformed or truncated input. An authenticated remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by providing specially crafted input from a compromised or hostile authentication server. Successful exploitation could result in a Denial-of-Service or potential remote code execution with elevated privileges. |
| A vulnerability exists in a management component that could allow an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to execute arbitrary commands. Successful exploitation could result in remote execution of arbitrary commands in the context of the affected utility. |
| A flaw was found in libsolv. This heap buffer overflow occurs during the decompression of attacker-controlled compressed data within `.solv` files due to insufficient input validation. An attacker can provide a specially crafted `.solv` file, which, when processed by a vulnerable application, can lead to out-of-bounds memory access. This could result in information disclosure, alteration of program execution, or a denial of service. |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. When validating certificates, an oversized Subject Alternative Name (SAN) could cause the validation process to incorrectly fall back to checking the Common Name (CN) field. This could allow a remote attacker to bypass proper certificate validation, potentially leading to spoofing or man-in-the-middle attacks. |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. This vulnerability occurs because permitted name constraints were incorrectly ignored when previous Certificate Authorities (CAs) only had excluded name constraints. A remote attacker could exploit this to bypass critical name constraint checks during certificate validation. This bypass could lead to the acceptance of invalid certificates, potentially enabling spoofing or man-in-the-middle attacks against affected systems. |
| An improper privilege management vulnerability in the REST API document processing pipeline of Progress MarkLogic Server before 11.3.6 and 12.0.3 allows an authenticated user with an administrative REST role to escalate privileges. This can result in unauthorized disclosure of sensitive server-side data when it is accessed by a higher-privileged user. |
| A path traversal flaw was found in SSSD's AD GPO provider. The ad_gpo_extract_smb_components() function does not sanitize .. sequences in the gPCFileSysPath LDAP attribute, allowing an attacker with AD GPO management access to write files outside the GPO cache directory as root. On default RHEL configurations with SELinux enforcing, this can be used to inject Kerberos configuration leading to authentication bypass. |
| A flaw was found in libgnutls. A remote attacker, by sending an extremely short premaster secret during an RSA key exchange to a server using an RSA key backed by a PKCS#11 token, could trigger a short heap overread. This memory corruption vulnerability could lead to information disclosure. |
| A stack buffer overflow was found in Internationl components for unicode (ICU ). While running the genrb binary, the 'subtag' struct overflowed at the SRBRoot::addTag function. This issue may lead to memory corruption and local arbitrary code execution. |
| A Server-Side Request Forgery and supply chain flaw was found in the OpenShift Console Helm catalog proxy. A namespace tenant can plant a ProjectHelmChartRepository with an arbitrary URL that the console pod fetches server-side, bypassing tenant egress restrictions. Combined with catalog metadata poisoning and admin-mediated chart installation, this enables privilege escalation. |
