CVSS v3.1 |
| The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.33.1, src/main/java/com/rabbitmq/client/impl/ValueReader.java permits ValueReader.readTable and ValueReader.readArray to call ValueReader.readFieldValue recursively for AMQP table type F and AMQP array type A values without a nesting-depth limit. A malicious AMQP server or network intermediary can send approximately 580 nested table levels in the pre-authentication connection.start frame, fitting within the default 131072-byte frame maximum, to trigger StackOverflowError. The error terminates the client input processing thread and causes denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.1. |
| ZEBRA is a Zcash node written entirely in Rust. Prior to 4.5.0, a natural or attacker-influenced chain fork can leave stale Sapling and Orchard note-commitment subtree roots in Zebra state. In zebra-state/src/service/non_finalized_state/chain.rs, Chain::pop_tip removed a reverted tip block but did not remove subtree entries whose end_height belonged to that block, unlike the cleanup performed by pop_root. When the winning fork later finalized, the abandoned branch's stale subtree data could be written to RocksDB and survive node restarts. The corrupted history can cause z_getsubtreesbyindex consumers such as lightwalletd and light wallets to receive incorrect subtree roots, producing wallet synchronization failures or incorrect wallet state and requiring a full state rebuild for recovery. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.0. |
| deepmerge-ts is a typescript library providing functionality to deep merging of javascript objects. Prior to 8.0.0, the deepmerge, deepmergeCustom, deepmergeInto, and deepmergeIntoCustom APIs do not track visited objects or object pairs when recursively merging records. When two input values contain self-references at the same property path, the merge logic repeatedly revisits the same pair until Node.js raises RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded. Applications that merge attacker-controlled recursive object graphs can synchronously crash the affected process or cause repeated worker restarts. Plain JSON input alone cannot create the recursive graph required to trigger the issue. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.0. |
| pdfcpu through v0.11.1 contains an uncontrolled-recursion denial-of-service issue in pkg/pdfcpu/model/parse.go. The parser descends recursively through nested PDF objects, including arrays, via ParseObjectContext() and parseArray() without enforcing a maximum nesting depth. |
| BetterDesk is a remote desktop management solution. BetterDesk versions through 2.3.0 improperly invalidate deleted device identities, allowing an unauthenticated client to replay or spoof a device ID and bypass registration controls. Version 3.0.0-alpha contains a patch. No known workarounds are available. |
| IBM Db2 Mirror for i 7.4, 7.5, and 7.6 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to uncontrolled recursion. |
| In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions up to 0.60, a crafted .class file with deeply nested annotations causes a segmentation fault. |
| django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django. Prior to 5.0.8, the move_plugin endpoint in cms/admin/placeholderadmin.py accepts an attacker-controlled plugin_parent value without rejecting a plugin’s own identifier or a descendant identifier. A staff user with plugin-change permission under CMS_PERMISSION can create a parent_id cycle in the plugin tree. The _get_descendants_cte and _get_ancestors_cte queries in cms/models/pluginmodel.py have no cycle guard, so get_descendants() and later rendering, copy, or delete operations can recurse indefinitely or reach a database recursion limit, corrupting the tree and consuming request workers. This issue is fixed in versions 5.0.8. |
| An OS command injection vulnerability in vsDesk allows an authenticated attacker with administrative privileges to execute arbitrary operating system commands due to insufficient input filtering. An attacker can exploit this flaw to disrupt web server operations, expose sensitive data, or potentially achieve full server compromise.
Apply patch from vendor https://vsdesk.ru/ . Versions 14.0101 and on have the patch. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ata: sata_dwc_460ex: fix infinite loop in NCQ tag completion bit-scanning
The hand-rolled bit-scanning loop in the NCQ completion path has an
infinite loop bug. When tag_mask has only high bits set (e.g.
0x80000000), the inner while loop left-shifts tag_mask until it
overflows to 0. At that point !(0 & 1) is always true and 0 <<= 1
stays 0, causing an infinite loop in hardirq context with a spinlock
held.
Replace the open-coded bit-scanning with __ffs() which correctly
finds the least significant set bit and is bounded by the width of
the argument. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: SVM: Bump asid_generation on CPU online to avoid ASID collision after hotplug
If a vCPU stays scheduled out (or blocked) while the last pCPU it ran
on goes through a hotplug cycle (online->offline->online), and the vCPU
then resumes execution on the same pCPU, then it is possible for it to
run with an ASID that has now been assigned to a different vCPU,
resulting in stale TLB translations being used.
svm_enable_virtualization_cpu() resets asid_generation to 1 and sets
next_asid to max_asid + 1 on every CPU online event, including hotplug
cycles. Because next_asid starts beyond the pool boundary, the first
call to new_asid() after an online event always wraps the pool,
incrementing asid_generation to 2 and assigning ASIDs starting from
min_asid.
Consider two vCPUs from different VMs, vCPU-A pinned to CPU-X holding
asid_generation=2 and ASID=N from before the hotplug event:
1. CPU-X goes offline and back online: asid_generation resets to 1,
next_asid = max_asid + 1.
2. One or more vCPUs migrate to CPU-X and call new_asid(), wrapping
the pool and consuming ASIDs starting from min_asid. Eventually
vCPU-B from a different VM is assigned asid_generation=2, ASID=N
— the same ASID that vCPU-A held before the hotplug.
3. vCPU-A enters pre_svm_run() on CPU-X: current_vmcb->cpu is
unchanged so the migration branch is skipped. Its saved
asid_generation=2 matches sd->asid_generation=2, so the generation
check silently passes and vCPU-A continues running with ASID=N —
the same ASID just freshly assigned to vCPU-B.
Both vCPUs from different VMs now run on CPU-X with the same ASID,
causing them to share NPT TLB entries and producing stale translations.
The collision manifests as a KVM internal error (Suberror: 1, emulation
failure). The NPT page fault reports a faulting GPA far outside the
VM's physical memory range — a sign of stale TLB translations being
used. KVM falls back to instruction emulation, which fails on
FPU/XSave instructions (XRSTOR, STMXCSR) that the emulator does not
implement.
Fix this by incrementing asid_generation instead of resetting it to 1
in svm_enable_virtualization_cpu(). On module load, asid_generation
starts at 0 (memset) and the increment produces 1, identical to the
old behaviour. On subsequent hotplug cycles the generation advances
beyond any value a vCPU previously observed on this CPU, so the
generation check in pre_svm_run() reliably forces new_asid() on every
vCPU after every hotplug cycle. |
| A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause excessive CPU consumption and exhaust the pool of request-handling worker processes by sending a crafted form-encoded HTTP POST request containing deeply nested parameters. Because request parameters were parsed before routing and authentication, any POST endpoint could be used to trigger the condition, which could render the instance unresponsive. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.3, 3.19.7, 3.18.10, and 3.17.16. |
| An issue was discovered in Django 5.2 before 5.2.17 and 6.0 before 6.0.8.
GeoDjango's `django.contrib.gis.geos.GEOSGeometry` is subject to a potential denial-of-service when parsing deeply nested `GEOMETRYCOLLECTION` objects supplied as well-known text (WKT), well-known binary (WKB), or hex-encoded WKB, which triggers unbounded recursion and a segmentation fault in the underlying GEOS library. Spatial field lookups and the `django.contrib.gis.forms.GeometryField` form field are also affected.
Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.1.x, 5.0.x, and 4.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected.
Django would like to thank Andrew MacPherson and kimchunbok_ for reporting this issue. |
| Scriban before 7.0.0 (affected versions <= 6.6.0) contains a stack overflow vulnerability in nested array initializer parsing. Deeply nested array initializers recurse through a path (ParseArrayInitializer → ParseExpression → ParseArrayInitializer) that is not covered by the ExpressionDepthLimit counter added in the fix for GHSA-wgh7-7m3c-fx25. An attacker who can supply untrusted input to Template.Parse can trigger an uncatchable StackOverflowException that immediately terminates the process, even with the default ExpressionDepthLimit enabled. |
| Scriban before 7.0.0 contains an uncontrolled recursion vulnerability in the object.to_json builtin function that lacks depth limits and circular reference detection. Attackers can craft templates with self-referencing objects to trigger unbounded recursion, causing a StackOverflowException that fatally terminates the hosting .NET process. |
| node-tar is a tar archive manipulation library for Node.js. Prior to 7.5.21, node-tar's filesFilter in src/list.ts uses the recursive mapHas helper to walk an archive entry path upward with path.dirname() and no segment cap when tar.t(...) or tar.x(...) receives a non-empty member-selection list. A crafted GNU L or PAX x long-path header with thousands of slash-separated segments reaches this.filter(entry.path, entry) in Parser[CONSUMEHEADER] in src/parse.ts before Unpack[CHECKPATH] applies maxDepth, causing an uncatchable RangeError stack overflow that terminates asynchronous and streaming Node.js consumers. This issue is fixed in version 7.5.21. |
| Zeroconf is a pure Python implementation of multicast DNS service discovery. Prior to 0.149.5, DNSIncoming._decode_labels_at_offset recurses once per DNS-name compression pointer, and a single mDNS packet carrying chained pointers can trigger a RecursionError that escapes DNSIncoming.__init__, causing sustained CPU burn, log flooding, and degraded mDNS-dependent features for unauthenticated hosts on the local link over UDP/5353 (224.0.0.251 / ff02::fb). This issue is fixed in version 0.149.5. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
md/raid10: fix writes_pending and barrier reference leaks on discard failures
raid10_make_request() acquires a writes_pending reference with
md_write_start() before calling raid10_handle_discard(). Several failure
paths in raid10_handle_discard() complete the bio and return without
releasing the corresponding reference, causing md_write_end() to be
skipped.
Call md_write_end() before returning from these failure paths to keep
writes_pending accounting balanced.
Additionally, discard split allocation failures can occur after
wait_barrier() succeeds. Those paths return without calling
allow_barrier(), leaking the associated barrier reference.
Release the barrier before returning from those paths. |
| Scriban before 6.6.0 contains an infinite recursion vulnerability in object rendering when the ObjectRecursionLimit property defaults to unlimited. Attackers can supply circular reference objects to the template context, exhausting stack space and triggering an uncatchable StackOverflowException that terminates the hosting process. |
| Scriban versions 6.6.0 through 7.2.0 contain a non-enforcing ExpressionDepthLimit guard that fails to stop recursive descent parsing of deeply nested expressions. Attackers can supply templates with deeply nested parentheses, array initializers, object initializers, or unary operators to trigger an uncatchable StackOverflowException that immediately terminates the host process. |
