CVSS v3.1 |
Zincati is an auto-update agent for Fedora CoreOS hosts. Zincati ships a polkit rule which allows the `zincati` system user to use the actions `org.projectatomic.rpmostree1.deploy` to deploy updates to the system and `org.projectatomic.rpmostree1.finalize-deployment` to reboot the system into the deployed update. Since Zincati v0.0.24, this polkit rule contains a logic error which broadens access of those polkit actions to any unprivileged user rather than just the `zincati` system user. In practice, this means that any unprivileged user with access to the system D-Bus socket is able to deploy older Fedora CoreOS versions (which may have other known vulnerabilities). Note that rpm-ostree enforces that the selected version must be from the same branch the system is currently on so this cannot directly be used to deploy an attacker-controlled update payload. This primarily impacts users running untrusted workloads with access to the system D-Bus socket. Note that in general, untrusted workloads should not be given this access, whether containerized or not. By default, containers do not have access to the system D-Bus socket. The logic error is fixed in Zincati v0.0.30. A workaround is to manually add a following polkit rule, instructions for which are available in the GitHub Security Advisory.
AVTECH devices that include the CloudSetup.cgi management endpoint are vulnerable to authenticated OS command injection. The `exefile` parameter in CloudSetup.cgi is passed to the underlying system command execution without proper validation or whitelisting. An authenticated attacker who can invoke this endpoint can supply crafted input to execute arbitrary system commands as root. Successful exploitation grants full control of the device, and - depending on deployment and whether the device stores credentials or has network reachability to internal systems - may enable credential theft, lateral movement, or data exfiltration. The archived SEARCH-LAB disclosure implies that this vulnerability was remediated in early 2017, but AVTECH has not defined an affected version range.
An input validation weakness was discovered in XCC that could allow a valid, authenticated XCC user with elevated privileges to perform command injection or cause a recoverable denial of service using a specially crafted file.
OS command injection vulnerability in WRC-X5400GS-B v1.0.10 and earlier, and WRC-X5400GSA-B v1.0.10 and earlier allows a network-adjacent attacker with an administrative privilege to execute arbitrary OS commands by sending a specially crafted request to the product.
An input validation weakness was discovered in XCC that could allow a valid, authenticated XCC user with elevated privileges to perform command injection through specially crafted command line input in the XCC SSH captive shell.
| An OS Command Injection vulnerability in Kiloview NDI allows a low-privileged user to execute arbitrary code remotely on the device with high privileges.
This issue affects Kiloview NDI N3, N3-s, N4, N20, N30, N40 and was fixed in Firmware version 2.02.0227 .

By providing a command-line argument starting with a semi-colon ; to an API endpoint created by the EnhancedCommandExecutor class of the HexStrike AI MCP server, the resultant composed command is executed directly in the context of the MCP server’s normal privilege; typically, this is root. There is no attempt to sanitize these arguments in the default configuration of this MCP server at the affected version (as of commit 2f3a5512 in September of 2025).
| The following APIs for the Silcon Labs SiWx91x prior to vesion 3.4.0 failed to check the size of the output buffer of the caller which could lead to data corruption on the host (Cortex-M4) application.

A local user with administrative access rights can enter specialy crafted values for settings at the user interface (UI) of the TwinCAT Package Manager which then causes arbitrary OS commands to be executed.
Syrotech SY-GOPON-8OLT-L3 v1.6.0_240629 was discovered to contain an authenticated command injection vulnerability.
A remote attacker with administrator account can gain full control of the device due to improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') while uploading a config file via webUI.
Web-Check is an all-in-one OSINT tool for analyzing any website. A command injection vulnerability exists in the screenshot API of the Web Check project (Lissy93/web-check). The issue stems from user-controlled input (url) being passed unsanitized into a shell command using exec(), allowing attackers to execute arbitrary system commands on the underlying host. This could be exploited by sending crafted url parameters to extract files or even establish remote access. The vulnerability has been patched by replacing exec() with execFile(), which avoids using a shell and properly isolates arguments.
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in multiple Netcore and Netis routers models with firmware released prior to August 2014 due to the presence of an undocumented backdoor listener on UDP port 53413. Exact version boundaries remain undocumented. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send specially crafted UDP packets to execute arbitrary commands on the affected device. This backdoor uses a hardcoded authentication mechanism and accepts shell commands post-authentication. Some device models include a non-standard implementation of the `echo` command, which may affect exploitability.
The affected product permits OS command injection through improperly restricted commands, potentially allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code.
Moxa’s cellular routers, secure routers, and network security appliances are affected by a critical vulnerability, CVE-2024-9140. This vulnerability allows OS command injection due to improperly restricted commands, potentially enabling attackers to execute arbitrary code. This poses a significant risk to the system’s security and functionality.
An OS command injection issue exists in multiple versions of TB-eye network recorders and AHD recorders. If this vulnerability is exploited, an arbitrary OS command may be executed by an attacker who is logging in to the device.
The device enables an unauthorized attacker to execute system commands with elevated privileges. This exploit is facilitated through the use of the 'getcommand' query within the application, allowing the attacker to gain root access.
Several OS command injection vulnerabilities exist in the device firmware in the /var/salia/mqtt.php script. By publishing a specially crafted message to a certain MQTT topic arbitrary OS commands can be executed with root permissions.
The airPASS from NetVision Information has an OS Command Injection vulnerability, allowing remote attackers with regular privileges to inject and execute arbitrary OS commands.
ASKEY 5G NR Small Cell fails to properly filter user input for certain functionality, allowing remote attackers with administrator privilege to execute arbitrary system commands on the remote server.
