CVSS v3.1 |
| A file quarantine bypass was addressed with additional checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.5. A maliciously crafted ZIP archive may bypass Gatekeeper checks. |
| A flaw was found in the provider-credential-controller component of multicluster-engine (MCE). An attacker with specific permissions on the hub cluster, and knowledge of a prior credential value, could exploit an authorization bypass vulnerability. By manipulating `copiedFrom` labels, the attacker could intercept newly rotated provider credentials, leading to unauthorized information disclosure. This allows access to sensitive credentials that should otherwise be protected. |
| Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in the OAuth token refresh grant in hexpm hexpm allows a user removed from an organization to keep reading its private packages.
expand_repositories_scope/3 in lib/hexpm/permissions.ex only rewrites the literal repositories scope, so an explicitly granted repository:<org> or docs:<org> scope passes through it untouched. The refresh grant re-derives a new token from the stored granted_scopes, which holds that expanded form, so every refresh reproduces the organization scope without revisiting membership. Because both CDN edges authorize repository access from the token claim without querying the database, an account removed from an organization retains read access for as long as it keeps refreshing, bounded by the 30 day refresh token lifetime rather than the 30 minute access token lifetime.
This issue affects hex.pm: from 2025-10-10 before 2026-08-24. |
| Unleash is an open-source feature management platform. Prior to 7.5.2, 7.6.5, and 8.0.2, the shared OpenAPI validation error path in src/lib/error/bad-data-error.ts passes a raw request value from lodash.get to JSON.stringify in genericErrorMessage and fromOpenApiValidationErrors without guarding stack exhaustion. An unauthenticated attacker can send a roughly 10 KB JSON value nested thousands of levels deep to POST /edge/validate, POST /edge/issue-token, or another OpenAPI-validated endpoint, causing RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded in openAPIValidationMiddleware and terminating the Node process because no uncaughtException handler recovers it. Replaying the request can sustain a complete service outage. This issue is fixed in versions 7.5.2, 7.6.5, and 8.0.2. |
| A vulnerability was identified in HashiCorp Vault and Vault Enterprise (“Vault”) such that an authenticated attacker may manipulate an identity value referenced by a templated policy path to gain unintended access to Vault paths.
An attacker who can control the referenced identity value may include slash ({{/}}) characters that Vault interprets as additional path segments when rendering the policy.
This vulnerability, CVE-2026-5006, was fixed in Vault Community Edition 2.0.4 and Vault Enterprise 2.0.4, 1.21.9, 1.20.14, and 1.19.20. |
| graphql-go (aka GraphQL for Go) through 0.8.0 has infinite recursion in the type definition parser. |
| Ech0 before 4.7.3 fails to properly revoke access tokens created with never-expire option, allowing attackers to maintain perpetual authenticated access after token theft. Three independent revocation mechanisms fail: logout panics on nil ExpiresAt field, RevokeToken skips when remainTTL is zero, and admin delete does not blacklist the JTI, leaving stolen tokens cryptographically valid until JWT secret rotation. |
| Runtipi is a personal homeserver orchestrator. In 4.10.0 and earlier, Runtipi accepts symbolic links from an attacker-controlled backup archive and copies them into live application paths during the backup restore flow. An authenticated attacker can plant user-config/app.env as a symlink to an arbitrary reachable path and then send PUT /api/user-config/demoapp3:_user with attacker-controlled appEnv content. FilesystemService.writeTextFile() follows the planted link, allowing content to be written outside the intended restore and user-config directory boundary with Runtipi process permissions. This issue is fixed in version 4.10.1. |
| RaTeX is a KaTeX-compatible math rendering engine written in Rust. Prior to version 0.1.11, RaTeX’s recursive-descent parser recurses one (or more) native stack frame per nesting level at `{`, `\left`, `\sqrt{`, `^{`, etc, with no maximum depth limit. A short, ~10 KB input of nested groups overflows the 8 MB main-thread stack and aborts the process. With `panic = "abort"` (`Cargo.toml:48`), and because a Rust stack overflow is always a fatal `SIGABRT` regardless of panic strategy this is an unrecoverable, whole-process denial of service reachable from a single untrusted LaTeX string. Version 0.1.11 fixes the issue. |
| Privilege elevation in Import in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.173 allowed a remote attacker leveraging social engineering to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted file. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Spring Framework (versions 5.0.x prior to 5.0.7, versions 4.3.x prior to 4.3.18, and older unsupported versions) allow web applications to change the HTTP request method to any HTTP method (including TRACE) using the HiddenHttpMethodFilter in Spring MVC. If an application has a pre-existing XSS vulnerability, a malicious user (or attacker) can use this filter to escalate to an XST (Cross Site Tracing) attack. |
| dom4j before 2.0.3 and 2.1.x before 2.1.3 allows external DTDs and External Entities by default, which might enable XXE attacks. However, there is popular external documentation from OWASP showing how to enable the safe, non-default behavior in any application that uses dom4j. |
| Apache Log4j2 versions 2.0-alpha1 through 2.16.0 (excluding 2.12.3 and 2.3.1) did not protect from uncontrolled recursion from self-referential lookups. This allows an attacker with control over Thread Context Map data to cause a denial of service when a crafted string is interpreted. This issue was fixed in Log4j 2.17.0, 2.12.3, and 2.3.1. |
| A flaw was found in FasterXML Jackson Databind, where it did not have entity expansion secured properly. This flaw allows vulnerability to XML external entity (XXE) attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is data integrity. |
| libvips is a fast image processing library with low memory needs. Prior to version 8.18.3, libvips built without libtiff support but with ImageMagick support can overflow the combined frame height while loading a crafted multi-page TIFF through VipsForeignLoadMagick. The vulnerable calculations in libvips/foreign/magick6load.c and libvips/foreign/magick7load.c multiply the per-page Ysize by n_frames without a checked bound, which can cause a heap buffer over-read and process crash. Most package-manager builds include libtiff and do not use this affected fallback path. This issue is fixed in version 8.18.3. |
| django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django. Prior to 5.0.9, render_object_structure fails to authorize non-PageContent objects that use PlaceholderRelationField. An active staff user without cms.use_structure or model-level view or change permission can request the //admin/cms/placeholder/object/<content_type_id>/structure/<object_id>/ endpoint with guessed content_type_id and object_id values. The response discloses placeholder slot names, plugin trees, plugin identifiers, labels, and object existence for frontend-editable objects. The fix applies user_can_view_placeholder_source to the non-PageContent branch while keeping the structure board read-only for view-only users. This issue is fixed in versions 5.0.9. |
| OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. In versions 3.4.0 through 3.4.12, a reachable assertion failure in the HTJ2K decode path allows a crafted HTJ2K-compressed EXR file to cause an unconditional process abort in any application that calls exr_start_read() on untrusted input, resulting in denial of service. The crash is triggered by a QCD marker whose lower five bits are zero, which OpenEXR passes into the vendored OpenJPH library while constructing the codestream and evaluating its quantization delta parameters. OpenJPH uses an assertion rather than a recoverable error to validate those bits, so any invalid value calls abort() directly and cannot be intercepted by surrounding error handling, a problem compounded by OpenEXR wrapping only its internal HT header parser in error handling while leaving the later codestream read and construction calls unprotected. This issue has been resolved in version 3.4.13. |
| Authorization bypass through user-controlled key in Microsoft Partner Center allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| GNU wget is vulnerable to denial of service in its FTP OPIE/S-KEY authentication functionality. The server-supplied sequence number from the FTP challenge line is used as an iteration count for an MD5 key-derivation loop without any upper bound validation. A malicious FTP server or a network attacker positioned to intercept FTP traffic can send a crafted OPIE challenge with a sequence number near INT_MAX, causing wget to perform up to approximately 2.1 billion MD5 computations and suspend for some time. The --timeout option does not mitigate this because it applies only to network I/O, not CPU computation.
This issue was fixed in commit e9697d98e7249b0f68a6be040a4f3dcc5bc101fa |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ovl: don't warn when the mount is completed from another user namespace
fsopen() records the caller's user namespace in fc->user_ns and hands
back an ordinary file descriptor. Nothing ties the task that calls
fsconfig(FSCONFIG_CMD_CREATE) to the task that created the context. The
fd is inherited across fork() and exec() and it can be passed over a
unix socket.
Completing a context from another user namespace is allowed on purpose.
vfs_cmd_create() authorizes the create with mount_capable(), which for
FS_USERNS_MOUNT checks ns_capable(fc->user_ns, CAP_SYS_ADMIN), and that
succeeds for a task holding CAP_SYS_ADMIN in an ancestor of fc->user_ns.
So an unprivileged task can reach the WARN_ON() in ovl_fill_super():
create a user and a mount namespace in a child, call fsopen("overlay")
there, send the fscontext fd to the parent and let the parent issue
FSCONFIG_CMD_CREATE. Both namespaces come from a plain unshare(1) and no
capability is needed anywhere:
WARNING: fs/overlayfs/super.c:1551 at ovl_fill_super+0x7b9/0x1e20 [overlay]

__do_sys_fsconfig+0x4b2/0x500
The child needs the mount namespace because fsopen() itself gates on
may_mount(), which asks for CAP_SYS_ADMIN in the user namespace owning
the caller's mount namespace. fsconfig() doesn't repeat that check.
It is a WARN_ON() and not a WARN_ON_ONCE(), so the condition can be
raised in a loop to taint the kernel and flood the log, and it panics a
kernel booted with panic_on_warn.
Keep refusing the mount and stop warning about it. ovl_parse_param()
already spells a user namespace check this way for Opt_override_creds. |
