CVE-2026-80569 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: synaptics-rmi4 - bound the F54 report size to the allocated buffer rmi_f54_work() reads a diagnostics report from the device into f54->report_data, sizing the transfer with rmi_f54_get_report_size(): report_size = rmi_f54_get_report_size(f54); ... for (i = 0; i < report_size; i += F54_REPORT_DATA_SIZE) { int size = min(F54_REPORT_DATA_SIZE, report_size - i); ... rmi_read_block(.., f54->report_data + i, size); } report_data is allocated once at probe from F54's own electrode counts (array3_size(f54->num_tx_electrodes, f54->num_rx_electrodes, sizeof(u16))), but rmi_f54_get_report_size() computes the size from drv_data->num_*_electrodes when those are set, i.e. from the F55 function's electrode counts. Both counts come straight from device queries (F54 and F55 each report up to 255 electrodes) and nothing constrains the F55 counts to the F54 ones. A malicious or malfunctioning RMI4 device that reports larger F55 electrode counts than its F54 counts makes report_size exceed the allocation, so the read loop writes past report_data (and the V4L2 dequeue memcpy() then reads past it). On conforming hardware the F55 configured electrodes are a subset of the F54 physical electrodes, so report_size never exceeds the buffer and well-behaved devices are unaffected. Record the allocation size and reject a report that does not fit, mirroring the existing zero-size check.
CVE-2026-80186 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-08-27 7.6 High
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in BlueZ, the Linux Bluetooth protocol stack. A remote user within Bluetooth radio range can send a specially crafted Extended Inquiry Response (EIR) packet that causes a buffer overflow when the target device performs Bluetooth discovery. This vulnerability can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) by crashing the bluetoothd service and may allow for arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2026-75142 1 Ffmpeg 1 Ffmpeg 2026-08-27 7.8 High
FFmpeg before commit 9d786e4 contains a stack buffer overflow in the MPEG-PS muxer (libavformat/mpegenc.c). When muxing input with more streams than the muxer's fixed-size stack buffer accommodates, the buffer is overflowed. A crafted input with an excessive number of streams triggers the overflow during MPEG-PS muxing.
CVE-2026-71936 1 Draytek 14 Vigorswitch Fx2120 Firmware, Vigorswitch G1282 Firmware, Vigorswitch G2100 Firmware and 11 more 2026-08-27 7.2 High
Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the sysreboot function. The vulnerability is caused by unsafe concatenation of split valueN data into a fixed-size buffer. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input, causing a denial of service or potentially executing arbitrary commands. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface.
CVE-2026-63633 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-08-27 8.8 High
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.28.0, freerdp_dsp_decode_opus in libfreerdp/codec/dsp.c calls Stream_EnsureRemainingCapacity on context->common.buffer even though opus_decode writes decoded PCM into the caller-supplied out stream. A malicious RDP server that negotiates WAVE_FORMAT_OPUS with a client built with WITH_OPUS enabled and WITH_DSP_FFMPEG disabled can make libopus write a large decoded frame beyond the 4096-byte StreamPool_Take destination used by channels/rdpsnd/client/rdpsnd_main.c. This can corrupt the client heap, crash the client, and may permit code execution. This issue is fixed in version 3.28.0.
CVE-2026-55194 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-08-27 8.8 High
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, rpc_client_recv_fragment in libfreerdp/core/gateway/rpc_client.c ensures the response reassembly stream capacity using only the server-declared alloc_hint rather than the actual StubLength about to be written. A malicious TS Gateway can send a PTYPE_RESPONSE with a small alloc_hint and a much larger frag_length, causing Stream_Write to copy attacker-controlled stub data beyond the 4096-byte pdu->s buffer. This can crash the client and may permit code execution through heap corruption. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0.
CVE-2026-55193 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-08-27 8.8 High
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, FreeRDP clients using TS Gateway accept a server-controlled max_xmit_frag value in libfreerdp/core/gateway/rpc_bind.c without bounding it to the 4088-byte ReceiveFragment allocation. A malicious gateway can advertise 65535 and then send a response fragment of the same length, causing rpc_channel_read in libfreerdp/core/gateway/rpc.c to write up to 65535 bytes into the smaller ReceiveFragment buffer. This can crash the client and may permit code execution through attacker-controlled heap corruption. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0.

CVE-2026-78322 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-08-27 6.5 Medium
A flaw was found in file-roller. When opening or extracting a malicious 7z or RAR archive containing a file entry with an excessively long path, file-roller's progress-line parsing copies the path into a fixed-size stack buffer using an unbounded string copy. This can trigger a stack buffer overflow and cause file-roller to terminate, resulting in a denial of service. To exploit this flaw, a victim must open or extract the crafted archive using file-roller.

CVE-2026-80545 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-27 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Improve EP11 CPRB length and overflow checks The xcrb_msg_to_type6_ep11cprb_msgx() function lacks proper input validation, creating security vulnerabilities: 1. Missing minimum size validation: The ep11_cprb structure and subsequent payload fields (pld_tag, pld_lenfmt) are copied from userspace without verifying sufficient buffer length. 2. Arithmetic overflow in length calculations: CEIL4 alignment could overflow, bypassing size checks and enabling buffer overflows. 3. The payload is asn1 encoded but the function just uses a simple c struct overlay to access some fields of the payload. Fix by using size_t for length calculations, adding U32_MAX boundary checks after alignment, and validating minimum request size and minimum reply size before copying from userspace. Do a very simple asn1 parsing of the payload up to the function value field.
CVE-2026-80576 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-27 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: reject oversized IBs with per-ring packet limits On GFX rings, amdgpu_cs_p2_ib() passed user-supplied ib_bytes through to ib->length_dw without a limit, while ring_emit_ib() encodes length into packet fields. Oversized values can corrupt adjacent control bits and destabilize command submission. Add a per-ring IB packet size limit helper and reject command submissions exceeding the corresponding dword limit before IB allocation. Use the documented 20-bit limit for GFX/compute/SDMA/VPE, and apply the MM fallback limit for other ring types. (cherry picked from commit 7f48fa2cf62e3fa6c9c3870aa74988f773247e52)
