| Use after free in Prerender in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.84 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |
| The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.35.0, ConnectionFactoryConfigurator.load() includes the raw uri value in wrapped exceptions when AMQP URI parsing fails. Because the URI may contain a plaintext username and password, startup logs, application performance monitoring systems, CI logs, and copied stack traces can disclose broker credentials to users who should not have access to them. This issue is fixed in version 5.35.0. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP. Opening a crafted XCF with a malformed text-layer parasite can cause a heap out-of-bounds read, disclosing adjacent heap data into layer text and causing denial of service. |
| Use after free in Remote Desktop Client allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in Windows GDI+ allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft XML allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Seven Gitea API routes under `/api/v1/users/{username}` (followers, following, following/{target}, starred, subscriptions, keys and gpg_keys) were registered without the `individualPermsChecker` middleware that enforces the visibility of the target user. An authenticated user could therefore read the followers, following list, starred and watched repositories and public SSH and GPG keys of a user with limited or private visibility, whom they could not otherwise see. The issue was fixed in 1.27.3 and 28.0.0 and disclosed with 28.2.0. |
| libming through 0.4.8 contains a heap buffer overflow in r_readc() in src/blocks/fromswf.c. A crafted SWF file with a malformed or truncated RECT header can cause a denial of service. |
| Missing authentication for critical function vulnerability in Apache Answer.
This issue affects Apache Answer: through 2.0.2.
The reaction API did not enforce content visibility controls, allowing unauthorized users to read reaction metadata from restricted content or add and remove their own reactions.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.3, which fixes the issue. |
| Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in Apache Camel Mina component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1.
When processing of an exchange failed, the Mina consumer wrote exchange.getException() straight back over the socket to the remote peer. Over a textline codec that hands the peer the exception's class name and message; over the object codec it hands over the serialised exception, cause chain included. A remote peer able to provoke a failure could therefore read internal detail about the deployment - class and package names, and whatever a message or nested cause happens to carry, which in practice can include paths, host names and connection detail. The consumer had no option to suppress this, unlike the HTTP-family consumers aligned by CAMEL-23651.
Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. A muteException consumer option, defaulting to true, replaces the route exception with a generic one carrying no class name, message or stack trace, while still writing a reply so that a synchronous peer is not left to time out. Set muteException=false to restore the previous behaviour. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, add an onException handler that sets the reply body explicitly, so the framework never writes the exception back to the peer. |
| Exposure of Data Element to Wrong Session vulnerability in Apache Camel Thrift component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1.
The Thrift data format unmarshalled incoming data into the shared defaultInstance of the target type rather than into a fresh copy, and returned that shared object as the exchange body. Because the instance is shared process-wide, state written while unmarshalling one message stayed on the object and was visible to every later message that used the same type. Fields absent from a later payload retained the previous message's values, so content belonging to one sender could be read while processing another sender's message, and concurrent exchanges could observe each other's partially written state. In a deployment that serves more than one tenant or user through the same route, that is disclosure of one party's data to another.
Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. Unmarshalling now deserializes into a copy, so each exchange gets its own instance and no state carries between messages. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, copy the unmarshalled body into a new instance immediately after the data format runs, and do not retain references to the returned object. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Apache Camel SMB component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.2.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1.
The Camel remote-file consumers poll a directory on a remote server and build the absolute remote path of each file by concatenating the configured directory with the file name reported in the server's directory listing. That concatenation (FtpUtils.absoluteFilePath and GenericFileConsumer) applied no lexical normalization and no check that the result stayed inside the directory being polled, and the resulting path became the operand for every subsequent remote operation on the file: retrieval (FtpOperations.retrieveFile / SftpOperations, reached from GenericFileConsumer where the retrieve name is taken verbatim from GenericFile.getAbsoluteFilePath), deletion when delete=true (GenericFileDeleteProcessStrategy), and renaming when move, preMove, moveFailed or readLock=rename is configured (GenericFileProcessStrategySupport and GenericFileRenameExclusiveReadLockStrategy). Neither isValidFile nor isMatched performed any containment check. A listing entry that is not a single path segment therefore resolved to a path outside the configured polling directory, causing Camel to read, delete or rename files outside it using the endpoint's own credentials. A listing name is not route-controlled data. It is supplied by the remote server, and the FTP control channel carries no integrity protection at all, so an on-path attacker can rewrite a LIST response without holding any credentials; a compromised, malicious or multi-tenant server, or a server backed by a virtual filesystem, can emit such a name directly. Retrieval is reachable in a default consumer configuration, since the remote consumers download every listed file; deletion and renaming additionally require one of the disposition options above, all of which are common. Escape from the directory Camel was configured to poll is unconditional, while escape from the server's own account boundary additionally depends on whether that server confines the account. The jailStartingDirectory option, which is documented as restricting Camel to the starting directory and is enabled by default, governed producer writes and, since the localWorkDirectory containment work, consumer downloads to the local work directory - but it did not constrain this remote operand, so its name and description claimed a boundary that was not enforced here. The same entry point had already been recognised on the local side: the localWorkDirectory download path was constrained so that a remote file name containing parent-directory segments could not resolve outside the local work directory. The remote operand was the remaining half of that surface. This artifact provides the smb scheme. Its consumer walks the share listing on its own rather than through RemoteFileConsumer, skipping only the exact "." and ".." entries, so a name carrying traversal segments in any other form was concatenated unchecked. Reaching it requires a server that emits a listing name which is not a single path segment, which a conforming SMB2 implementation does not do; the exposure was corrected on the same basis as the other remote-file consumers rather than from a demonstrated proof of concept against this scheme.
Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.22.x releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. The 4.14.x stream reached end of life and does not receive this fix; users on it should move to a supported releases stream. |
