CVE-2026-64452 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 6lowpan: fix NHC entry use-after-free on error path lowpan_nhc_do_uncompression() looks up an NHC descriptor while holding lowpan_nhc_lock. If the descriptor has no uncompress callback, the error path drops the lock before printing nhc->name. lowpan_nhc_del() removes descriptors under the same lock and then relies on synchronize_net() before the owning module can be unloaded. That only waits for net RX RCU readers. lowpan_header_decompress() is also exported and can be reached from callers that are not necessarily covered by the net core RX critical section, for example the Bluetooth 6LoWPAN L2CAP receive path. This leaves a race where one task drops lowpan_nhc_lock in the error path, another task unregisters and frees the matching descriptor after synchronize_net() returns, and the first task then dereferences nhc->name for the warning. With the post-unlock window widened, KASAN reports: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in lowpan_nhc_do_uncompression+0x1f4/0x220 Read of size 8 lowpan_nhc_do_uncompression lowpan_header_decompress Fix this by printing the warning before dropping lowpan_nhc_lock, so the descriptor name is read while unregister is still excluded. The malformed packet is still rejected with -ENOTSUPP.
CVE-2026-64070 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/hv-gpci: fix preempt count leak in sysfs show paths Four sysfs show() callbacks in hv-gpci take get_cpu_var(hv_gpci_reqb) (which calls preempt_disable()) but only call the matching put_cpu_var() on the error path under the 'out:' label. Every successful read leaks one preempt_disable(): processor_bus_topology_show() processor_config_show() affinity_domain_via_virtual_processor_show() affinity_domain_via_domain_show() (affinity_domain_via_partition_show() was already correct.) On a CONFIG_PREEMPT=y kernel, repeated reads raise preempt_count and eventually return to userspace with preemption still disabled. The next user-mode page fault then hits faulthandler_disabled() == 1, gets forced to SIGSEGV, and the resulting coredump trips 'BUG: scheduling while atomic' in call_usermodehelper_exec -> wait_for_completion_state -> schedule: BUG: scheduling while atomic: <task>/<pid>/0x00000004 ... __schedule_bug+0x6c/0x90 __schedule+0x58c/0x13a0 schedule+0x48/0x1a0 schedule_timeout+0x104/0x170 wait_for_completion_state+0x16c/0x330 call_usermodehelper_exec+0x254/0x2d0 vfs_coredump+0x1050/0x2590 get_signal+0xb9c/0xc80 do_notify_resume+0xf8/0x470 Add an out_success label that calls put_cpu_var() before returning the byte count, mirroring affinity_domain_via_partition_show().
CVE-2026-64071 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-pci: fix use-after-free in nvme_free_host_mem() nvme_free_host_mem() frees dev->hmb_sgt via dma_free_noncontiguous() but never clears the pointer afterward. This leads to a use-after-free if nvme_free_host_mem() is called twice in the same error path. This can happen during nvme_probe() when nvme_setup_host_mem() succeeds in allocating the HMB (setting dev->hmb_sgt) but nvme_set_host_mem() fails with an I/O error: nvme_setup_host_mem() nvme_alloc_host_mem_single() -> sets dev->hmb_sgt nvme_set_host_mem() -> fails with -EIO nvme_free_host_mem() -> frees hmb_sgt, but does NOT NULL it return error nvme_probe() error path: nvme_free_host_mem() -> dev->hmb_sgt is stale, use-after-free The second call dereferences the freed sgt, causing a NULL pointer dereference in iommu_dma_free_noncontiguous() when it accesses sgt->sgl->dma_address (the backing memory has been freed and zeroed). This is reproducible on Thunderbolt-attached NVMe devices (e.g., OWC Envoy Express behind a Dell WD22TB4 dock) where the device intermittently returns I/O errors during HMB setup due to PCIe link instability. BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000010 RIP: 0010:iommu_dma_free_noncontiguous+0x22/0x80 Call Trace: <TASK> dma_free_noncontiguous+0x3b/0x130 nvme_free_host_mem+0x30/0xf0 [nvme] nvme_probe.cold+0xcc/0x275 [nvme] local_pci_probe+0x43/0xa0 pci_device_probe+0xeea/0x290 really_probe+0xf9/0x3b0 __driver_probe_device+0x8b/0x170 driver_probe_device+0x24/0xd0 __driver_attach_async_helper+0x6b/0x110 async_run_entry_fn+0x37/0x170 process_one_work+0x1ac/0x3d0 worker_thread+0x1b8/0x360 kthread+0xf7/0x130 ret_from_fork+0x2d8/0x3a0 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 </TASK> Fix this by setting dev->hmb_sgt to NULL after freeing it, so the second call takes the multi-descriptor path which safely handles the already-cleaned-up state.
CVE-2026-64072 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme: fix bio leak on mapping failure The local bio is always NULL, so we'd leak the bio if the integrity mapping failed. Just get it directly from the request.
CVE-2026-64073 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: irq_work: Fix use-after-free in irq_work_single() on PREEMPT_RT On PREEMPT_RT, non-HARD irq_work runs in per-CPU kthreads via run_irq_workd(), so irq_work_sync() uses rcuwait() to wait for BUSY==0. After irq_work_single() clears BUSY via atomic_cmpxchg(), it still dereferences @work for irq_work_is_hard() and rcuwait_wake_up(). An irq_work_sync() caller on another CPU that enters after BUSY is cleared can observe BUSY==0 immediately, return, and free the work before those accesses complete — causing a use-after-free. Fix this by wrapping run_irq_workd() in guard(rcu)() so that the entire irq_work_single() execution is within an RCU read-side critical section. Then add synchronize_rcu() in irq_work_sync() after rcuwait_wait_event() to ensure the caller waits for the RCU grace period before returning, preventing premature frees.
CVE-2026-64074 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/statmount: fix slab out-of-bounds write in statmount_mnt_idmap statmount_mnt_idmap() writes one mapping with seq_printf() and then manually advances seq->count to include the NUL separator. If seq_printf() overflows, seq_set_overflow() sets seq->count to seq->size. The manual seq->count++ changes this to seq->size + 1. seq_has_overflowed() then no longer detects the overflow. The corrupted count returns to statmount_string(), which later executes: seq->buf[seq->count++] = '\0'; This causes a 1-byte NULL out-of-bounds write on the dynamically allocated seq buffer. Fix this by checking for overflow immediately after seq_printf().
CVE-2026-64075 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fprobe: Fix unregister_fprobe() to wait for RCU grace period Commit 4346ba1604093 ("fprobe: Rewrite fprobe on function-graph tracer") changed fprobe to register struct fprobe to an rcu-hlist, but it forgot to wait for RCU GP. Thus there can be use-after-free if the fprobe is released right after unregistering. This can be happened on fprobe event and sample module code. To fix this issue, add synchronize_rcu() in unregister_fprobe(). Note that BPF is OK because fprobe is used as a part of bpf_kprobe_multi_link. This unregisters its fprobe in bpf_kprobe_multi_link_release() and it is deallocated via bpf_kprobe_multi_link_dealloc(), which is invoked from bpf_link_defer_dealloc_rcu_gp() RCU callback. For BPF, this also introduced unregister_fprobe_async() which does NOT wait for RCU grace priod.
CVE-2026-64076 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: bridge: eb_tables: close module init race sashiko reports for unrelated patch: Does the core ebtables initialization in ebtables.c suffer from a similar race? Once nf_register_sockopt() completes, the sockopts are exposed globally. sockopt has to be registered last, just like in ip/ip6/arptables.
CVE-2026-64453 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: misc: usbio: fix disconnect UAF in client teardown usbio_disconnect() walks usbio->cli_list in reverse and uninitializes each auxiliary device. auxiliary_device_uninit() drops the device reference, and for an unbound child that can run usbio_auxdev_release() and free the containing struct usbio_client. list_for_each_entry_reverse() advances after the loop body by reading client->link.prev. If the current client is freed by auxiliary_device_uninit(), the iterator dereferences freed memory. Use list_for_each_entry_safe_reverse() so the previous client is cached before the body can drop the final reference. This preserves reverse teardown order while keeping the next iterator cursor independent of the current client's lifetime. Validation reproduced this kernel report: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in usbio_disconnect+0x12e/0x150 Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x66/0xa0 print_report+0xce/0x630 ? usbio_disconnect+0x12e/0x150 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? __virt_addr_valid+0x188/0x320 ? usbio_disconnect+0x12e/0x150 kasan_report+0xe0/0x110 ? usbio_disconnect+0x12e/0x150 usbio_disconnect+0x12e/0x150 usb_unbind_interface+0xf3/0x400 really_probe+0x316/0x660 __driver_probe_device+0x106/0x240 driver_probe_device+0x4a/0x110 __device_attach_driver+0xf1/0x1a0 ? __pfx___device_attach_driver+0x10/0x10 bus_for_each_drv+0xf9/0x160 ? __pfx_bus_for_each_drv+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? trace_hardirqs_on+0x18/0x130 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? _raw_spin_unlock_irqrestore+0x44/0x60 __device_attach+0x133/0x2a0 ? __pfx___device_attach+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? do_raw_spin_unlock+0x9a/0x100 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 device_initial_probe+0x55/0x70 bus_probe_device+0x4a/0xd0 device_add+0x9b9/0xc10 ? __pfx_device_add+0x10/0x10 ? _raw_spin_unlock_irqrestore+0x44/0x60 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? lockdep_hardirqs_on_prepare+0xea/0x1a0 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? usb_enable_lpm+0x3c/0x260 usb_set_configuration+0xb64/0xf20 usb_generic_driver_probe+0x5f/0x90 usb_probe_device+0x71/0x1b0 really_probe+0x46b/0x660 __driver_probe_device+0x106/0x240 driver_probe_device+0x4a/0x110 __device_attach_driver+0xf1/0x1a0 ? __pfx___device_attach_driver+0x10/0x10 bus_for_each_drv+0xf9/0x160 ? __pfx_bus_for_each_drv+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? trace_hardirqs_on+0x18/0x130 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? _raw_spin_unlock_irqrestore+0x44/0x60 __device_attach+0x133/0x2a0 ? __pfx___device_attach+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? do_raw_spin_unlock+0x9a/0x100 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 device_initial_probe+0x55/0x70 bus_probe_device+0x4a/0xd0 device_add+0x9b9/0xc10 ? __pfx_device_add+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? add_device_randomness+0xb7/0xf0 usb_new_device+0x492/0x870 hub_event+0x1b10/0x29c0 ? __pfx_hub_event+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? lock_acquire+0x187/0x300 ? process_one_work+0x475/0xb90 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? lock_release+0xc8/0x290 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 process_one_work+0x4d7/0xb90 ? __pfx_process_one_work+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? __list_add_valid_or_report+0x37/0xf0 ? __pfx_hub_event+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 worker_thread+0x2d8/0x570 ? __pfx_worker_thread+0x10/0x10 kthread+0x1ad/0x1f0 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork+0x3c9/0x540 ? __pfx_ret_from_fork+0x10/0x10 ? srso_alias_return_thunk+0x5/0xfbef5 ? __switch_to+0x2e9/0x730 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 </TASK>
CVE-2026-64077 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: move to two-stage removal scheme Like previous patches for x_tables, follow same pattern in ebtables. We can't reuse xt helpers: ebt_table struct layout is incompatible. table->ops assignment is now done while still holding the ebt mutex to make sure we never expose partially-filled table struct.
CVE-2026-64078 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: add and use xtables_unregister_table_exit Previous change added xtables_unregister_table_pre_exit to detach the table from the packetpath and to unlink it from the active table list. In case of rmmod, userspace that is doing set/getsockopt for this table will not be able to re-instantiate the table: 1. The larval table has been removed already 2. existing instantiated table is no longer on the xt pernet table list. This adds the second stage helper: unlink the table from the dying list, free the hook ops (if any) and do the audit notification. It replaces xt_unregister_table().
CVE-2026-80756 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: do not cancel a policy conversion that never started sel_write_load() calls selinux_policy_cancel() when sel_make_policy_nodes() fails, and that helper dereferences the outgoing policy to cancel its sidtab conversion. On the first policy load there is no outgoing policy: security_load_policy() returns early for that case, before it converts anything, and state->policy is still NULL. A first load that fails while building the selinuxfs tree therefore takes a NULL dereference in selinux_policy_cancel(), reached from a write(2) to /sys/fs/selinux/load. Skip the cancel when there is no old policy, mirroring the check security_load_policy() already makes before it converts.
CVE-2026-80757 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: reject a class permission count below its inherited common security_get_permissions() maps an inherited common's permissions into an array sized by the class's own permissions.nprim, but class_read() takes that nprim verbatim from the policy image and never checks that it covers the common. A class that inherits a common of N permissions while declaring a smaller nprim is accepted, and on load the common's permissions are written past the class-sized array -- an out-of-bounds heap write. Reject a class whose permission count is below its inherited common's. Well-formed policies, where the class count already includes the inherited permissions, are unaffected.
CVE-2026-80729 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/huge_memory: initialise workingset state before folio split xas_try_split() adds __GFP_ACCOUNT for page-cache xa_nodes, but __folio_split() leaves the xa_state's xa_lru unset. That lets a live, memcg-charged xa_node exist without being linked into the mapping's shadow_nodes list_lru; when reclaim later walks the list_lru it trips VM_WARN_ON(!css_is_dying()). Use mapping_set_update() to install both the workingset update callback and the shadow_nodes list_lru on the xa_state.
CVE-2026-80739 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: TC, Check if flow is PEER before acquiring devcom lock In case __mlx5e_add_fdb_flow() fails in lower levels, the flow is deleted via mlx5e_tc_del_flow(), and mlx5e_tc_del_flow() is acquiring ESW devcom lock without condition. In addition, in case of peer_flow, __mlx5e_add_fdb_flow() is called while holding ESW devcom comp lock. This results in an AA deadlock. To fix this, introduce a new PEER flag that is set on flows created as peer flows (the duplicate flows on peer devices), and check it in mlx5e_tc_del_flow() before acquiring ESW devcom lock. CVE-2026-80740 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/log: Fix infinite loop when scale is too large for display When scale is large enough that scaled_font exceeds the display dimensions, rows or columns become 0. A columns value of 0 causes an infinite loop in drm_log_draw_kmsg_record() because the loop never decrements len. Check for zero rows/columns in drm_log_setup_modeset() and return an error, cleaning up the already allocated buffer to avoid a leak.
CVE-2026-64079 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 5.5 Medium

This leaves a window where the table is visible in the list with ops=NULL. If the pernet exit happens runs concurrently the pre_exit callback finds the table via xt_find_table() and passes the NULL ops pointer to nf_unregister_net_hooks(), causing a NULL dereference: general protection fault in nf_unregister_net_hooks+0xbc/0x150 RIP: nf_unregister_net_hooks (net/netfilter/core.c:613) Call Trace: ipt_unregister_table_pre_exit iptable_mangle_net_pre_exit ops_pre_exit_list cleanup_net Fix by moving the ops allocation into the xtables core so the table is never in the list without valid ops. CVE-2026-64080 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 9.3 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_ffa: Snapshot notifier callbacks under lock Both notification handlers currently look up a notifier callback under notify_lock, drop the lock, and then dereference the returned notifier entry. A concurrent unregister can delete and free that entry in the gap, leaving the handler to dereference stale memory. Copy the callback pointer and callback data while notify_lock is still held and invoke the callback only after the lock is dropped. This keeps the existing callback execution model while removing the use-after-free window in both the framework and non-framework notification paths.
CVE-2026-64081 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_ffa: Validate framework notification message layout Framework notifications carry an indirect message in the shared RX buffer. Validate the reported offset and size before using them, reject zero-length payloads, and ensure that any non-header payload starts at the UUID field rather than in the middle of the message header. Use the validated offset and size values for both kmemdup() and the UUID parsing path so malformed firmware data cannot drive an out-of-bounds read or an oversized allocation.
CVE-2026-80755 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: selinux: reject a permission value exceeding the class permission count perm_read() bounds a permission value by SEL_VEC_MAX but never by the nprim of the owning class or common, which is taken verbatim from the policy image. security_get_permissions() then writes perms[value - 1] into an nprim-sized kcalloc() array, so a class declaring fewer permissions than its largest permission value drives an out-of-bounds heap write. The top-level symbol tables are validated this way; the nested per-class permission table is not. Reject a permission whose value exceeds nprim, which is already set when perm_read() runs. Well-formed policies are unaffected. [PM: tweak comment for line length]
