| Buildroot before 0b2967e lacks the sticky bit for the /dev/shm directory. A fix was released in 2024.02.2. |
| Clario through 2024-04-11 for Desktop has weak permissions for %PROGRAMDATA%\Clario and tries to load DLLs from there as SYSTEM. |
| Rockstar Games Launcher 1.0.37.349 contains a privilege escalation vulnerability that allows authenticated users to modify the service executable with weak permissions. Attackers can replace the RockstarService.exe with a malicious binary to create a new administrator user and gain elevated system access. |
| The configuration of Cursor on macOS, specifically the "RunAsNode" fuse enabled, allows a local attacker with unprivileged access to execute arbitrary code that inherits Cursor TCC (Transparency, Consent, and Control) permissions.
Acquired resource access is limited to previously granted permissions by the user. Accessing other resources beyond previously granted TCC permissions will prompt the user for approval in the name of Cursor, potentially disguising attacker's malicious intent.
This issue was detected in 15.4.1 version of Cursor. Project maintainers decided not to fix this issue, because a scenario including a local attacker falls outside their defined threat model. |
| The seffaflik thru 0.0.9 is vulnerable to symlink attacks due to incorrect default permissions given to the .kimlik file and .seffaflik file, which is created with mode 0777 and 0775 respectively, exposing secrets to other local users. Additionally, the .kimlik file is written without symlink checks, allowing local attackers to overwrite arbitrary files. This can result in information disclosure and denial of service. |
| The Postbox's configuration on macOS, specifically the presence of entitlements: "com.apple.security.cs.allow-dyld-environment-variables" and "com.apple.security.cs.disable-library-validation" allows for Dynamic Library (Dylib) injection. A local attacker with unprivileged access can use environment variables like DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES to successfully inject code in application's context and bypass Transparency, Consent, and Control (TCC). Acquired resource access is limited to previously granted permissions by the user. Access to other resources beyond granted-permissions requires user interaction with a system prompt asking for permission.
The original company behind Postbox is no longer operational, the software will no longer receive updates. The acquiring company (em Client) did not cooperate in vulnerability disclosure. |
| Incorrect default permissions issue exists in Security Point (Windows) of MaLion prior to Ver.5.3.4. If this vulnerability is exploited, an arbitrary file could be placed in the specific folder by a user who can log in to the system where the product's Windows client is installed. If the file is a specially crafted DLL file, arbitrary code could be executed with SYSTEM privilege. |
| CYRISMA Sensor before 444 for Windows has an Insecure Folder and File Permissions vulnerability. A low-privileged user can abuse these issues to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM by replacing DataSpotliteAgent.exe or any other binaries called by the Cyrisma_Agent service when it starts |
| XWiki AdminTools integrates administrative tools for managing a running XWiki instance. Prior to version 1.1, users without admin rights have access to AdminTools.SpammedPages. View rights are not restricted only to admin users for AdminTools.SpammedPages. While no data is visible to non admin users, the page is still accessible. This issue has been patched in version 1.1. A workaround involves setting the view rights for the AdminTools space to be only available for the XWikiAdminGroup. |
| The Kolide Agent (aka: Launcher) is the lightweight agent designed to work with Kolide's service. An implementation bug in the Kolide Agent (known as `launcher`) allows for local privilege escalation to the SYSTEM user on Windows 10 and 11. The bug was introduced in version 1.5.3 when launcher started storing upgraded binaries in the ProgramData directory. This move to the new directory meant the launcher root directory inherited default permissions that are not as strict as the previous location. These incorrect default permissions in conjunction with an omitted SystemDrive environmental variable (when launcher starts osqueryd), allows a malicious actor with access to the local Windows device to successfully place an arbitrary DLL into the osqueryd process's search path. Under some circumstances, this DLL will be executed when osqueryd performs a WMI query. This combination of events could then allow the attacker to escalate their privileges to SYSTEM. Impacted versions include versions >= 1.5.3 and the fix has been released in 1.12.3. |
| Incorrect Default Permissions vulnerability in The Wikimedia Foundation Mediawiki - GrowthExperiments Extension allows Resource Leak Exposure. This issue affects Mediawiki - GrowthExperiments Extension: from master before 1.39. |
| Incorrect Default Permissions vulnerability in The Wikimedia Foundation Mediawiki - Thanks Extension, Mediawiki - Growth Experiments Extension allows Accessing Functionality Not Properly Constrained by ACLs.This issue affects Mediawiki - Thanks Extension, Mediawiki - Growth Experiments Extension: from 1.43 before 1.44. |
| A container privilege escalation flaw was found in KServe ModelMesh container images. This issue stems from the /etc/passwd file being created with group-writable permissions during build time. In certain conditions, an attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, can leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This could allow the attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, leading to full root privileges within the container. |
| A container privilege escalation flaw was found in certain CodeReady Workspaces images. |
| An issue was discovered on Brother MFC-J491DW C1806180757 devices. The printer's web-interface password hash can be retrieved without authentication, because the response header of any failed login attempt returns an incomplete authorization cookie. The value of the authorization cookie is the MD5 hash of the password in hexadecimal. An attacker can easily derive the true MD5 hash from this, and use offline cracking attacks to obtain administrative access to the device. |
| An issue was discovered on Epson Expression Home XP255 20.08.FM10I8 devices. By default, the device comes (and functions) without a password. The user is at no point prompted to set up a password on the device (leaving a number of devices without a password). In this case, anyone connecting to the web admin panel is capable of becoming admin without using any credentials. |
| Multiple i-フィルター products contain an issue with incorrect default permissions. If this vulnerability is exploited, a local authenticated attacker may replace a service executable on the system where the product is running, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privileges. |
| The configuration of Nozbe on macOS, specifically the "RunAsNode" fuse enabled, allows a local attacker with unprivileged access to execute arbitrary code that inherits Nozbe TCC (Transparency, Consent, and Control) permissions.
Acquired resource access is limited to previously granted permissions by the user. Access to other resources beyond granted-permissions requires user interaction with a system prompt asking for permission.
This issue was fixed in version 2025.11 of Nozbe. |
| The Phoenix Code's configuration on macOS, specifically the presence of entitlements: "com.apple.security.cs.allow-dyld-environment-variables" and "com.apple.security.cs.disable-library-validation" allows for Dynamic Library (Dylib) injection.
This issue was fixed in commit 0c75fb57f89d0b7d9b180026bc2624b7dcf807da |
| Insecure permissions in the script /etc/init.d/lighttpd in AK-Nord USB-Server-LXL Firmware v0.0.16 Build 2023-03-13 allows a locally authenticated low-privilege user to execute arbitrary commands with root privilege via editing this script which is executed with root-privileges on any interaction and on every system boot. |
