CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in sudo. When sudoers rules use NOTBEFORE or NOTAFTER time-based access restrictions with timestamps that omit the trailing 'Z' timezone indicator, the time evaluation relies on the TZ environment variable inherited from the calling user. Because sudo is a setuid-root program, an unprivileged local user can set TZ to an extreme timezone offset to shift the authorization window by up to approximately 25 hours, causing expired rules to be treated as valid. This allows the user to execute commands outside the intended time window. Authentication is not bypassed; only the time-based authorization check is affected. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted GIMPressionist preset file, the plug-in does not properly validate vector indices before writing into fixed-size arrays. This can lead to an out-of-bounds write, corrupting memory. An attacker could exploit this by convincing a user to load a malicious preset file, potentially causing a crash or enabling arbitrary code execution. |
| A flaw was found in the file-psd plugin in GIMP. When generating a thumbnail preview for a specially crafted PSD (Photoshop Document) image file, an integer overflow occurs during the multiplication of values from an embedded JPEG header. This leads to an undersized heap allocation, resulting in a heap-based buffer overflow when the image data is decoded. This buffer overflow corrupts adjacent heap objects, allowing for a controlled memory write that can result in an application crash or arbitrary code execution. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's ICO file loader. When processing an ICO file containing an embedded PNG image, an integer overflow can occur during the calculation of the required buffer size. This leads to an undersized buffer being allocated, causing a heap-based buffer overflow when the decoded pixel data is written. A remote attacker could exploit this by crafting a malicious ICO file, which, when opened, could lead to arbitrary code execution or a crash. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted lighting preset file, the Lighting Effects filter does not properly validate the number of light sources. This can lead to an out-of-bounds write, corrupting memory. An attacker could exploit this by convincing a user to open a malicious preset file, potentially causing a crash or enabling arbitrary code execution. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Totolink A3002MU 1.0.0-B20230403.1455. This impacts the function sub_44B250 of the file /boafrm/formUploadFile of the component File Upload Handler. The manipulation of the argument filename results in path traversal. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. |
| A flaw was found in the StreamsHub Console for Apache Kafka. Tenant-supplied Kafka client properties from the Console custom resource are copied into the console-api AdminClient configuration without filtering security-sensitive keys, allowing a Console CR author to set config.providers and bootstrap.servers to exfiltrate the console-api ServiceAccount token to an attacker-controlled broker. |
| A flaw was found in libvirt. A local attacker, specifically a process running as the confined `swtpm` user, could exploit a symlink-following vulnerability in the `virFileChownFiles()` function. By planting a symbolic link within the `swtpm` state directory, the attacker could trick the root-level libvirt daemon into changing the ownership of an arbitrary file to the `swtpm` user. This allows for privilege escalation from the `swtpm` sandbox to root-level file ownership control. |
| A flaw was found in libvirt. An unprivileged local user could exploit an integer overflow vulnerability in the NodeGetFreePages RPC handler. This flaw allows crafted values to bypass a size check, leading to an undersized memory buffer. Subsequently, real NUMA node data can overwrite this buffer. This heap buffer overflow can corrupt the root libvirt daemon's memory, potentially leading to a denial of service or local privilege escalation. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: atomisp: gc2235: fix UAF and memory leak
gc2235_probe() handles its error paths incorrectly.
If media_entity_pads_init() fails, gc2235_remove() is called, which
tears down the subdev and frees dev, but then still falls through to
atomisp_register_i2c_module(). This results in use-after-free.
If atomisp_register_i2c_module() fails, the media entity and control
handler are left initialized and dev is leaked.
gc2235_remove() unconditionally calls media_entity_cleanup() and
v4l2_ctrl_handler_free(), but these are not initialized at every
error path in gc2235_probe().
Replace gc2235_remove() calls in the probe error paths with explicit
unwind labels that free only the resources initialized at each point
of failure, in reverse order of initialization. |
| Improper initialization in an ASUS certain motherboard allows an physically proximate user to read or write arbitrary memory by inserting a specially crafted device.
Refer to the '
Security Update for Multiple ASUS Motherboards ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| A flaw was found in Dogtag PKI, as used by FreeIPA's certificate authority component. The certificate profile import functionality does not fully validate uploaded profile content beyond the profile ID. An authenticated user with CA Administrator privileges can exploit Dogtag's ExternalProcessConstraint mechanism to execute arbitrary commands with attacker-controlled environment variables, achieving code execution as the pkiuser account. |
| A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the 9P protocol implementation of NFS-Ganesha. The server does not protect the lifetime of file identifier (FID) objects when processing concurrent requests. An attacker can race a write operation against a close operation on the same FID, causing one worker thread to free the FID and its associated data while another thread continues to use it. This allows attacker-controlled data to be written into freed heap memory, which can result in a crash or potentially remote code execution. The 9P protocol handler does not implement authentication, so the vulnerability is reachable without credentials by any client with network access to the 9P listener. |
| A stack buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the 9P protocol implementation of NFS-Ganesha. The server does not validate the number of path components in a TWALK request against the protocol-defined limit of 16. An attacker can send a specially crafted TWALK message with thousands of path components, causing the server to write past the end of a fixed-size stack buffer during response construction. This can result in a crash or potentially remote code execution. The 9P protocol handler does not implement authentication, so the vulnerability is reachable without credentials by any client with network access to the 9P listener. |

| The Prime Mover plugin for WordPress before 2.2.1 contains a Zip Slip path traversal vulnerability that allows authenticated administrators to write arbitrary files outside the intended extraction directory during migration ZIP import. Attackers can craft ZIP entry names with traversal sequences processed by computeExtractionParameters() and resumableZipExtractor() in utilities/PrimeMoverSystemCheckUtilities.php to write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary filesystem locations, potentially achieving remote code execution if the written files are interpreted by the web environment. |
| The Prime Mover plugin for WordPress before 2.2.1 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows authenticated administrators to delete arbitrary directories by importing a crafted WPRIME/TAR package with manipulated tar_root_folder values in wprime-config.json. Attackers can exploit insufficient path validation in computeExtractVariables() and validateImportedSiteVsPackage() to cause primeMoverDoDelete() to remove directories outside the intended extraction path, potentially deleting critical WordPress directories such as wp-admin and rendering the site inoperable. |
