CVSS v3.1 |
| Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow') vulnerability in Apache NimBLE.
The HCI socket transport did not check whether a received HCI event would fit the configured event pool before copying it, allowing a buffer overflow. Severity is low: exploitation requires either a misconfigured pool size or a malicious/compromised controller on the other end of the HCI socket link, not over-the-air Bluetooth access.
This issue affects Apache NimBLE: through 1.9.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.10.0, which fixes the issue. |
| U-Boot before 2026.07-rc2 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in nfs_readlink_reply() (net/nfs-common.c) when CONFIG_CMD_NFS is enabled, allowing a malicious or compromised NFS server to overflow the 2048-byte nfs_path_buff buffer by returning multiple relative symlink targets that are appended without cumulative length validation. Attackers can send two or more READLINK responses containing relative symlink targets of approximately 1100 bytes each to corrupt adjacent BSS variables including nfs_server_ip, nfs_server_mount_port, nfs_server_port, nfs_our_port, nfs_state, and rpc_id, potentially achieving memory corruption and control over the NFS client state machine. |
| Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Erlang OTP erts (inet_drv) allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the BEAM VM by sending a crafted SCTP ERROR chunk.
The sctp_parse_error_chunk function in erts/emulator/drivers/common/inet_drv.c parses SCTP ERROR chunks and writes cause codes into a fixed-size stack-allocated ErlDrvTermData spec[] array without checking bounds. A remote attacker who has established an SCTP association to a listening port can send a single crafted SCTP ERROR chunk containing enough cause codes to overflow the stack buffer, crashing the VM. The attacker can only write 16-bit values interleaved with a fixed tag, so the overflow does not provide a controlled return address, limiting exploitation to Denial of Service.
A crafted SCTP ERROR chunk may also leak bits and pieces of Erlang VM memory into the received error packet observed by the Erlang process. Such data is already readable by the user running the Erlang VM, so the disclosure scope is limited.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 29.0.2, OTP 28.5.0.2 and OTP 27.3.4.13, corresponding to erts from 6.0 before 17.0.2, 16.4.0.2 and 15.2.7.9. |
| Memory safety bugs present in Firefox ESR 115.37, Firefox ESR 140.12 and Firefox 152. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 153, Firefox ESR 115.38, Firefox ESR 140.13, Thunderbird 153, and Thunderbird 140.13. |
| Incorrect boundary conditions in the Audio/Video: GMP component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 153, Firefox ESR 115.38, Firefox ESR 140.13, Thunderbird 153, and Thunderbird 140.13. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: mxuport: fix memory corruption with small endpoint
Make sure that the bulk-out endpoint max packet size is at least eight
bytes to avoid user-controlled slab corruption should a malicious device
report a smaller size. |
| FreeRDP before 3.28.0 (affected <=3.27.1) contains a heap-based buffer overflow in crypto_rsa_common() (libfreerdp/crypto/crypto.c). The function writes the modular-exponentiation result into the caller's output buffer via BN_bn2bin() and only afterward checks output_length > out_length, so out-of-bounds bytes are written before the bounds check. On the server side, when a client selects RDP Standard Security, the encrypted client random is decrypted into a fixed 32-byte buffer. Because the server publishes its RSA public key, an unauthenticated attacker can forge a ciphertext whose decrypted value is up to the full modulus length (e.g. 256 bytes for RSA-2048), overflowing the 32-byte heap buffer by up to ~224 attacker-controlled bytes pre-authentication, resulting in denial of service. |
| Buffer Overflow vulnerability in libjxl v.0.11.2 and before allows a local attacker to obtain sensitive information via the DecodeImageAPNG function |
| A heap overflow in the evalcommand() function (shell/ash.c) of Busybox v1.38.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted input. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: codecs: fs210x: fix possible buffer overflow
In fs210x_effect_scene_info(), a string was copied like this:
strscpy(DST, SRC, strlen(SRC) + 1);
A buffer overflow would happen if strlen(SRC) >= sizeof(DST).
Actually, strscpy() must be used this way:
strscpy(DST, SRC, sizeof(DST));
strscpy(DST, SRC); // defaults to sizeof(DST) |
| Quicly is an IETF QUIC protocol implementation intended primarily for use within the H2O HTTP server. Prior to commit 8b178e6, Quicly is vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack through connection state corruption. In QUIC Invariants, the maximum length of a Connection ID is 255 bytes, while QUIC version 1 further restricts the maximum to 20 bytes. Quicly implements QUIC version 1 and therefore its CID buffers are limited to 20 bytes. However, to be able to respond to unknown versions of QUIC, its packet decoder accepts Connection IDs of up to 255 bytes. As its CID buffers are merely 20 bytes long, Quicly must reject QUIC version 1 packets with Connection IDs longer than that. The command line tool bundled with Quicly has had that check, however the library itself lacked such enforcement. As a consequence, when used by applications that lack their own enforcement, the connection state becoming inconsistent to buffer overrun. Fortunately, the overflow stops within the allocated chunk of memory, but nevertheless, the bug leads to assertion failures. This issue has been fixed by commit 8b178e6. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in TRENDnet TEW-821DAP 1.12B01. Impacted is the function sub_41EC14 of the file /goform/tools_nslookup of the component ssi. The manipulation of the argument nslookup_target leads to buffer overflow. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The vendor explains: "We are unable to confirm the existence of the vulnerabilities for (...) TEW-821DAP (v1.0R) as these items have been EOL. " This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
